Fuck you, you cunt.
Now thats not very nice.
i mean honestly, how wild is it that the leader of a modern country can tell civilians to march unarmed against soldiers with rifles, tanks, helicopters, and jets and they'd gladly do it while chanting his name? erdogan isn't the only problem here
Now thats not very nice.
And fuck you too.
This may sound crazy, but what is the possibility of this coup being a set up? a show to solidify erdogan
snip automerge broke
This may sound crazy, but what is the possibility of this coup being a set up?
no way to tell at the moment, the smoke needs to have settled a bit
This may sound crazy, but what is the possibility of this coup being a set up?
Everybody in Argentina -familiar with shady political ops- is saying it was a set up from Erdogan. The number one clue from those who say it, is that the military were retarded to launch an operation at such a time. It would have been far more effective to do it at 3-4am when everyone was at their homes. But I disagree. I still hold they were discovered before therefore having to preemptively launch it.
that video of the carnage on the street from a few hours ago, jesus christ the last dude is just erased. The description seemed confused and mentioned you probably needed some big weapons to do that, I'd have assumed that strip is what the attack chopper was laying into in the previous videos
Most attack coppers use 25mm auto cannon rounds that is basicaly launching frags rapidly in a small area. There tends to be nothing left of a human afterwards.
Anyone who supports the military in this situation should go find a gun, hold it against his head and pull the trigger without a second thought because they do not comprehend the magnitude of consequences that comes with an overthrow.
Good job. You just fucking showed support for people killing themselves if they disagree with you. Do you even listen to yourself?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/bvozcTQ.png[/t]

Congrats to the military who tried to overthrow Erdogan They now hold the record for the poorest attempt at a coup d'etat of the 21st century. They didn't even last for a whole day. "Ok troops, disembark! Now form a line and tell all the civilians that we are going to protect the democracy" *sees angry crowd chanting pro erdogan slogans, claiming for their deaths and closing in* "Oh. GG everybody."

Right now the coup hasn't succeeded, the public listened to the call of Erdoğan and the prime minister to go out and protest the attempt and people managed to secure most critical areas like squares and airports. Only the bosphorus bridge had some considerable violence involved. There are reports of grenades being thrown, the bridge may go down but I doubt it. Right now the military is compleyely unpredictable. Erdoğan cut his broadcast because of F-16 airplanes flying around the airport. I've felt 2 shocks, it was either an earthquake or bombs being dropped, either way people started to close their lights just in case. Regardless, I think this madness will come to an end soon. Whether you like a leader or not, a coup is never the right choice. Anyone who supports the military in this situation should go find a gun, hold it against his head and pull the trigger without a second thought because they do not comprehend the magnitude of consequences that comes with an overthrow. This is not an issue of secular vs islamic or anything, this is an attack against democracy, basic human rights and people of Turkey as a whole. One last thing, there is a metric fuckton of false information flying around, take everything with a grain of salt.
Erdogan supporters, everyone. Peaceful Islam at its best.
Well this escalated fast.
Pretty sure he was being satirical.
I wouldn't mind if they all got executed in all honesty.
And i was hoping your shitty leader would get blown up. I have infinite more respect for the kurds than i have ever had with the turks.
And i was hoping your shitty leader would get blown up. I have infinite more respect for the kurds than i have ever had with the turks.
All turks are the same All kurds are the same :v:
I'm still wondering why the pro-coup jets never went after the erdogan's private jet.
And i was hoping your shitty leader would get blown up. I have infinite more respect for the kurds than i have ever had with the turks.
You mean the Kurds who routinely blow up innocent civilians and have far more radical views on Islam? There's shitty people on all sides.
Theirs a lot of reasons, they could of been busy engaging targets and it would of been impossible to get confirmation. A wrong move and your coup is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of passengers.
I'm still wondering why the pro-coup jets never went after the erdogan's private jet.
Maybe they didnt know?
You mean the Kurds who routinely blow up innocent civilians and have far more radical views on Islam? There's shitty people on all sides.
He's saying that, while he hates them for what they've done, he hates the Turks even more.
Maybe they didnt know?
If all of facepunch could track erdogan's plane on real time but they couldn't, then they've got to have the worst OSINT/SIGINT officers of all times....
I'm still wondering why the pro-coup jets never went after the erdogan's private jet.
If they wanted to kill him, the coup wouldn't have looked like this in the first place.
If all of facepunch could track erdogan's plane on real time but they couldn't, then they've got to have the worst OSINT/SIGINT officers of all times....
Getting confirmation it's his plane while they're busy hitting targets is harder than you think.
I'm still wondering why the pro-coup jets never went after the erdogan's private jet.
Probably because they want this to be as bloodless as possible? If they outright killed him, it would throw the whole nation into trouble. At least with him alive they have a bargaining chip. [editline]16th July 2016[/editline]
Getting confirmation it's his plane while they're busy hitting targets is harder than you think.
I'm fairly certain that if they wanted to shoot him down, whatever targets they were currently going after were no longer a priority.
Istanbul calmed down, Erdogan jerked off a bit and crowd cheered and that's pretty much it. According to the news 754 soldiers have been detained so far. Ankara, however, is still hot. Even the live news coverage resonates gunfire and F16s circling above the capital, mainly around the Parliament building. It took 3 bombs during the night, 2 of which hit right the center's rooftop.
"oh boy starting to try and put out the fire on my country's coop, better FUCKING EXECUTE prisoners and give them no reason to surrender"
I feel like if anything is going to push people across Turkey to the military's support it would be executing them all.

Alright, i'm just going to write this away. Never been the fella to write such long paragraphs; nor read them, but today was a horrible day overall. Have been staying up for 16 hours now. Its also probably nothing compared to what Syrians saw in their homelands, but still it was a terrifying experience. First sign me and my uncle had was, that F16 airplanes started to roam around the city. We wanted to figure what was going wrong so i went into some of the news sites and learned theres a military coup just started in Ankara and Istanbul. First, TSK (Turkish Army) released a news notice, saying that today will be the day to break the current rulers. Then, as we are watching the news stations to obtain more data, breaking news appeared: PM said that these words werent coming from the whole army, but from some of the soldiers who are bound to FETO (Fethullah Gulen), which is like a terrorist group and a betrayer for Turkey (they were never good to begin with, they became enemies when Erdogan and Gulen had a dispute). The ministers started to take phone calls on the channels, saying that this will not be accepted. Shit hit the fan so fast we couldnt even catch up. One minute later we started to hear machine guns and bombs hitting TBMM. Those sounds i will probably remember for the rest of my life. Now here's the ridiculous part. Erdogan was never a good ruler and a person, yet he had %50 of the country on his back. When your capital is being bombed or occupied by the fucking army, you dont just go out and tell the citizens to come outside the streets to protest. That will surely hurt them, right? This fucking guy used the mosques as a propaganda equipment, asking for everyone to go out and harass the army men. THE ARMY MEN. THEY HAVE GUNS, YOUR CITIZENS DONT. I could already see how bad this was going to be, and within mere minutes we already had gore footage of people getting slaughtered by chopper machine guns or people getting crushed under tanks. And oh boy, like thats not enough his people TRIES TO BURN THE TANKS THEY FOUND WITH SOLDIERS INSIDE THEM. We're talking about the same country men shedding blood over nothing. I never liked Erdogan's supporters but this is just madness. After 4 AM, my family couldnt hold up much more, so they went to sleep. I couldnt because on this country i was so goddamn sure one or two of those bullets would hit home. I had to guard my family, so i just watched the planes fly over districts again and again. In the end? 47 people deceased, and many more coming up surely. Not even talking about the injuries. And at this point people start to realize something else. Erdogan could have just done this to cover up past problems, and bring in a system half of the country doesnt like at all. People would have 2 weeks worth of content to talk about, and he would just slide through all the obstacles on his way. JUST BECAUSE HE WANTED TO BE THE SOLE PERSON RULING THE COUNTRY, HE CONDONES 47 DECEASED HUMAN BEING. And then, at 6 AM i get another announcement that TSK will be continuing their march. While i'm writing these i still hear jets flying around. I'm not sure if this is tolerable anymore.
