Are you guys saying Erdogen is basicaly Joseph Stalin the 2nd?
No, more like Assad.
No, more like Assad.
Worse than Assad, at least Assad isn't an Islamist.
I feel bad for the turkish citizens that doesn't support this guy. Could even hear my friend's tormented voice when he told me "It's all over..."
Worse than Assad, at least Assad isn't an Islamist.
Until he starts actively physically harming his people, he won't be worse than Assad. Doesn't matter if he's an Islamist or not.
Until he starts actively physically harming his people, he won't be worse than Assad. Doesn't matter if he's an Islamist or not.
He basically did by telling his people to take to the streets against the military armed with automatics, helis, tanks, and jets.

He's been violating the human rights of the Kurdish minority for years like those before him.
He basically did by telling his people to take to the streets against the military armed with automatics, helis, tanks, and jets.
He did and he shouldn't have. If he cared about their safety. But he's not actively giving orders to kill people here. At least not yet.
He's been violating the human rights of the Kurdish minority for years like those before him.
Still, does that make him worse than Assad? What Assad has done is of a much larger scale and affecting the entirety of his country.
Worse than Assad, at least Assad isn't an Islamist.
Not even close. Come back to me when Erdogan is dropping barrel bombs and using chemical weapons on his own people.
You can't measure who's worse of a human, but it goes without saying that Erdogan's administration has actively been targeting a part of their population.
Not even close. Come back to me when Erdogan is dropping barrel bombs and using chemical weapons on his own people.
It doesn't matter the method, both of them clearly do not care how many of their people live or die if it means they stay in power.
You can't measure who's worse of a human, but it goes without saying that Erdogan's administration has actively been targeting a part of their population.
I responded to someone who thought one was worse than the other. I didn't start that comparison, I just disagreed with it.
Not even close. Come back to me when Erdogan is dropping barrel bombs and using chemical weapons on his own people.
erdogan is actually actively bombing kurds in eastern turkey that aren't part of the pkk or any kind of insurgency against turkey.
erdogan is actually actively bombing kurds in eastern turkey that aren't part of the pkk or any kind of insurgency against turkey.
Has he killed 250,000+ of them in 3 years?
Besides, would 1500+ wounded and 250+ deaths be part of his plan then? Not sure if he is that much of a monster
You realize that he himself told his supporter to take to the streets and to actively protest against fucking tanks, attack helicopters, fighter jets, and automatic weapons right? You should never underestimate how far people are willing to go to gain power.
Man, the coup soldiers are being lynched and tortured everywhere.

"Pro Erdogan Islamists torture and lynch surrendered coup soldiers under police supervision."
Animals.
NATO soldiers being butchered by Islamists
And NATO does nothing

I hope the rest of the military does something.
People are reporting explosions at Incirlik Air Base according to Reddit

Guess it's a loss cause to hope they get arrested for murder
I feel bad for them, I wonder how many where just following the orders of their superior.
Since the coup to displace an all the more islamistic government failed, does that mean the Islamists won? Reading reddit turkey people are really worried and distraught over it and calling it "the last chance is gone" and citing how it's the military's job to uphold Ataturks secular legacy.

Basically Erdogan is now looked upon as a saviour and leader because of this failed coup, so with the increased amount of support hes getting now he's "cleansing" the army and possibly even judges throughout Turkey who oppose him.
and knowing how much the majority of the Turkish people obsessively love Erdogan the next elected president won't be much different
Worse than Assad, at least Assad isn't an Islamist.
lol no. Boo hoo Erdogan is a Islamist waaaaa Muslims and all that bullshit, but Assad has been waging a war of extermination on his own people for years now. Theres been over 200,000 deaths, chemical weapons have been used, and the whole war started with him using the military to slaughter non-violent unarmed protesters. Get back to reality man.

This is actually really cute
NATO soldiers being butchered by Islamists

So your solution to stop NATO soldiers from being slaughtered by NATO soldiers is to send in more NATO soldiers to slaughter the NATO soldiers who are slaughtering the NATO soldiers? Sounds like a really open and shut case. We should bomb the NATO Turks, but not the good NATO Turks, the bad ones.

If you can't see the Erdogan is bad and if given the chance will be worse than Assad, you're the one who needs to get back to reality.
[editline]16th July 2016[/editline]
Not to mention Erdogan is keeping the war going in Syria by funding the FSA and ISIS and bombing the YPG, so he's equally responsible for the deaths there as Assad.

Is there a Pennsylvania in Turkey or am I missing something here?
Is there a Pennsylvania in Turkey or am I missing something here?
In my experience Turkish people don't consider themselves part of the country they live in.
Obviously there's exceptions to this but they're rare.
