Yes! excellent! so glad i pre-purchased this now i can't fucking wait! shows what fan backlash can actually achieve.
Nope... Diana's original VA is still gone. (Damnit)
The Diana that was in Sniper Challenge sounded pretty damn similar to old Diana, her voice wasn't that important for it to really make that much of a difference really.
It makes a difference for long time fans because he is the face and voice of the franchise and it pissed a lot of people off when he was pretty unceremoniously dropped from the series. This should get back a lot of the more devoted fans.
I was still going to get this game with or without him. I've been a fan since day one and if the voice impacts your decision on the product then you're massively butthurt. Not saying that I'm not absolutely thrilled he is back but people need to get a fucking grip.

Same basic idea. He's the face of 47. He is the protagonist. He IS Hitman. (for the record, I was still planning on getting the game too, and hadn't thought too far into the name change thing, but I can at least see why it would make people antsy.)

To me Bateman's voice was really iconic unlike the genericvoiceactor294. But probably one of the reasons people reacted negatively to this was they assumed that since they didn't bring Bateman, they're going to make it less like the previous games aka making it more *cough*accessible.*cough*
It's party time motherfuckers!
They pulled a McCaffrey! Nice work!
They pulled a McCaffrey! Nice work!
McCaffrey was on MP3 from the beginning. The two don't relate at all.
McCaffrey was on MP3 from the beginning. The two don't relate at all.
Rockstar stated when they started development that they would use an older actor. McCaffrey joined about halfway through.

I'm not saying it matters none because it obviously does somewhat in regards to the legacy of the series, but refusing to buy the game purely over a voice actor not appearing and playing a character that rarely says all that much anyways is silly.

Tomorrow i will pre order it. I just could not stand that they really ignored Bateson so i had big doubt about this but since he is back.. Pre order on the way!
The Hitman games are beautiful, and I have high hopes for this one even after IO's repeated failures with Kane & Lynch.
I feel like IO Interactive saw how fucking pissed the Splinter Cell fan base has been about Michael Ironside leaving, and did the most logical thing to prevent that from happening to Hitman.
Well, that's a good start. Next step, bring back Jesper Kyd. Seriously, I don't know how they looked at the first four games and decided that it wasn't good enough to bring him back. I mean, it's Jesper fucking Kyd, what the hell were you thinking? Now stop dicking around and bring him back too.

i feel bad for the other voice actor :(
