Female politician proposes law to fine men $100 for masturbating as 'act against an unborn child'
Someone is trying to find a male counterpart for the abortion? How twisted.
The next step, being charged for genocide just because you masturbated, and then the same person compares you with Hitler because why not, she said my genitals are a tool of mass murdering.
All silly laws aside, a little male anatomy lesson to all those kind of women: sperm isn't immortal. Once mature, they start weakening after a couple of days without use.
A man can set by himself some sort of abstinence, but that unique pain from the fluid pressure after weeks without ejaculation is not very nice. Not nice at all.
And this is another point why proposing stupid laws even in case of mocking an existing law or satire is in fact stupid. People will just see that someone proposes something ridiclious, which gives more fuel for the other side.
This is obviously not working.

So you blame the person for writing the bill because people don't read past the headline?
Ah yes, a battle for the illusion of control. How cute.
Fine womens 100$ each month because of periods
Fine people who don't read the article $100 each.

Whatever happend to having the moral high ground?
Taking the moral high ground put us in this social and political situation in the first place.
This thread is proof that there is no satire in the world heavy handed enough that people will not take it completely seriously. Holy fuck.
My bad, the election has broken my ability to detect when people are being ironic.
You can't blame your illiteracy on the election.

wut
It isn't a blatant issue to the conservative men in Texas who run the senate, they think women's rights are bull shit. Here, a recent example. By proposing this preposterous bill, receiving backlash and watching all the republicans lash out and call it ridiculous, she can then call them out on their hypocrisy and create a legitimate dialogue.
The delightful dialogue comment was entirely sarcastic, but I'm not surprised that too went over your head.
Trying to change the opinions of politicians who have been dead set in their ways since they were elected decades ago with a petty ironic bill is a great idea
It does say that you shouldn't waste your seed though.
isnt that the reason jews chop their tip off?
Except, Austin has always been mostly Democratic, same with cities like El Paso and Houston. The problem is the suburban/rural areas of Texas, which are overwhelmingly Republican.
Here is the past presidential elections in Texas. Yes, the number of Democrats are rising, but it's still going to be some time before they overtake conservatives. Why is it so bad that she's making a bill to display how stupid this anti-abortion and anti-contraception rhetoric that Republicans are pushing?
Because it does nothing to actually change that rhetoric. It really just does nothing in general except to be petty and snide

Yes, do absolutely nothing instead
Yes, do absolutely nothing instead
Obviously the solution to this issue is political shitposting, instead of introducing actual legislation to change things.

The legislation to give women abortion rights has about as good of a chance of getting through as this masturbation bill.
I'm pro choice, but comparing making non-sanctioned masturbation illegal to making termination of pregnancy illegal/restricted seems like a false equivalence to me.
Yeah she could have just aimed the satire at male pregnancy. Oh wait that doesn't fucking exist.
You can't cry false equivalency when there is no equivalent. What she's trying to prove is that male politicians are trying to tell women what they can't do.
The legislation to give women abortion rights has about as good of a chance of getting through as this masturbation bill.
What sends an important message for the next election season; Republicans using this dumb as dicks bill against her when shes up for reelection, or her using their refusal to vote for a women's right bill against them when reelections come up?
Again, this bill is petty nonsense.
isnt that the reason jews chop their tip off?
It started as a sanitary thing because not everyone could clean themselves very well, so that removed the need (for the most part)
Bring bad reading back.
People get banned for posting without reading the article lol
-snip- dumb joke.
People get banned for posting without reading the article lol
Fair point. Sometimes I need a reminder to not be nice.
Fine people who don't read the article $100 each.
Garry already has enough money
or we can just match the title with the articles?
Idk why people keep making piss-boiling article titles and get mass shitty attention.
[editline]14th March 2017[/editline]
that also should be a ban reason
Now I know that this is a satirical law so I'm not addressing this person specifically, but why do so many people act like the possession of a sex drive, the basis on which the human race reproduces, is some icky unnatural thing that you should try to pretend doesn't exist as much as possible? It's the most natural thing in the goddamn world after eating and breathing.
Why do people think that it's perfectly normal to take a newborn baby and snip off his foreskin, even though every single baby is always born with a foreskin and its purpose is known and understood?
These people don't operate on any sound logic.
Ironic proposals are still proposals.
Jokes aside, that's pretty clever. It weeds out people who take it seriously as an opportunity to portray the ridiculousness of anti-abortion law.
It started as a sanitary thing because not everyone could clean themselves very well, so that removed the need (for the most part)
Pretty sure it was a sign of a covenant with god not a sanitary thing. Sanitary reasons is just a modern day excuse for continuing to mutilate the genitals of children without their consent.

Exactly.

Exactly.
While I'm also against newborn circumcision, I don't see what that's got to do with this thread. Apart from the whole "Let's control other people's sex lives for them because we don't want them doing anything that we personally wouldn't do ourselves." Angle.
Honestly, the more issues like this are looked into, the more backward they become. It'll be interesting in 20+ years to look back on the 2010's and teach history classes like "It was a less informed age where newborn genital mutilation was common and women were not legally in control of their own bodies." Should make a nice reprieve from fighting off the inevitable robot AI uprising.
Just because the other side makes stupid laws doesn't mean you have to propose stupid laws, too. Don't go down to their level, be above that.
Whatever happend to having the moral high ground?
You've definitely never stood on it
Read the article guys.
This is pretty much about anti-abortion bills and shit, if abortion is considered "an act against an unborn life" or whatever dumb bullshit, then so should male masturbation, it's to show how dumb these anti-abortion bills can be with just some role-reversal.
that doesn't make any sense at all because women can still masturbate.
the difference between sperm and unborn eggs is that eggs are limited and sperm are not.
but that unique pain from the fluid pressure after weeks without ejaculation is not very nice. Not nice at all.
this guy has been watching too much furry porn
It started as a sanitary thing because not everyone could clean themselves very well, so that removed the need (for the most part)
no, it is pretty well known that the dude who invented corn flakes(Dr. John Harvey Kellogg) pushed for circumcision to stop little boys from masturbating, and spread propaganda that masturbating was bad for your health.
that doesn't make any sense at all because women can still masturbate.

Difference is female masturbation doesn't kill quadrillions of children every year
:speedfap: = :suicide: * 10000000
