The Nintendo DS is the second best selling console of all time, so the first half of your comment isn't much of an issue.

Your love for smartphones is almost pornographic.

the DS isn't relevant anymore

open platforms with multiple uses>closed platforms that milk you

How does the DS milk you in comparison to a smartphone?

a smartphone does not milk one

Platforms dedicated to a single purpose with standardized hardware and controls > platforms with different operating systems, hardware, and input. And touchscreens sill make for shitty primary controls.
you also sorta need a smartphone, or at least it has more uses than a DS or 3DS, which is a console, which is an archaic and unneeded concept. At least with handheld gaming, home consoles won't die until Apple and Google enters the smart TV business, and even then it will take years

touchscreen controls are fine for Pokemon
"...then buy White 2 (not rehash btw) and you also need Black 2 to get them all :downs:"
black 2 and white 2 apparently have whole new storylines continuing from b&w 1 so no not really a rehash
and they have online trading now, so you can catch 'em all on one cart without ever having to leave your parent's basement and talk to a real person
So, Blonic the hedgehog is a cool guy.

this is another thing about consoles that bother me, ancient and simple features are new and innovative again thanks to consoles being leagues behind other devices, the standards are just so low it really turns me off =/
Besides, 3rd party/multiplatform is better, would you rather a game be made for PC/Steam, XBL, PSN, iOS, Android etc or just 3DS/DS?
As much as Zynga's track record means that they intended a rip-off, why should Pokemon be the only monster collection game? That seems like some grade A nonsense to me.

He's still technically right, and by a long shot - the amount of Android phones dwarf the DS by quite an amount. There's something like 1 million activations of Android a day now. Either way, I'd love to see Google release a standardized interface (and maybe a gamepad to go with it) for gamepads in Android so they'd be easy to add support for.
but rayquaza is just a green dragon, plus it looks like it actually has wings.
I don't like defending Zynga, but this just looks like another bad game, not a pokemon ripoff.

I'll agree that the starting sequence does remind me of pokemon, but once you see the actual gameplay, it has nothing to do with pokemon. You just tap and receive stuff randomly, they didn't try to integrate a story, you have no rivals, hell even the leveling and battling aren't the same.
God damn that looks like a mess and seems like they were pretty lazy with the gameplay too.
at least it's on a system people own (smartphones) and not "oh hey buy some system you don't want for lots of cash, then buy White 2 (not rehash btw) and you also need Black 2 to get them all "
I bet kids have a DS more often than a smartphone.
The two version thing is just to encourage trading anymore, with the online trading your really don't need the second version.
I don't think Nintendo is even going to bother suing Zynga. They know this looks way to absurd for anyone to buy it.

Even the music sounds similar to pokemon
"With Your friend Milly"
Oh wow that's totally not familiar
Who cares about this, and no I don't think Nintendo should sue them holy shit even if they are copying them I don't think you should be allowed to sue someone for using an asthetic design similar to yours.
if youre looing for a good pokemon mmo, try pokemmo, better then this shit.
Nintendo, I have a great idea.
To get back up from some of the losses you've been having, sue the living shit out of them and fill your pockets :v:

Tell that to Apple.
Tell that to Apple.
In order to keep their incredibly vague and simplistic patents, Apple is forced to sue nearly everyone.
They're not evil, they're just stupid.

Wait, are you telling me you missed that period a few years ago when a d-pad emulated by a touchscreen phone was a selling point?
