Sometimes I wish I was born in Europe instead of shitville America, Police are out of control, Hospital extrot the living hell out of you, Education system ain't really educating you at all... America's fucked.
Say what you want about the UK but at least the NHS doesn't rob you for calling an ambulance when you're about to pass out from blood loss. Seriously, what happens to the low-income/poverty stricken families in the US that won't/can't pay back their debts to the healthcare system?
It's the same reason lawyers charge so much. They don't expect everyone to pay, so they gouge the shit out of those that do to cover everyone else.
It does cost a fucking fortune to be taken away in an ambulance. My family just got billed over a thousand dollars when we had my mom taken to the hospital
Wow their fourth child. I wonder what happened, she must have been over confident and waited to long? Also 10 pounds good lord.
in the US there's a lot of people would prefer (or have no choice) to risk speeding/reckless driving tickets over having to pay the exorbitant fee for a ride in the ambulance, which is still small compared to the costs for birthing service at the hospital (especially if you don't have the right health insurance)
the idea of having to pay, let alone exorbitant amounts, to give birth in a hospital or even get there rubs me very much the wrong way

Most medical bills don't count against your credit score if you don't pay so it's better not to.
