probably still cremate them since you can't throw them in the trash anyways, i really don't see the difference though, incinerating it as medical waste or cremating it as dead bodies, you are still burning them
One is being treated as no more than waste and one is being treated as a human (or just an animal).
Use them as food
Soylent green being people is a political statement
This is pretty confusing. Aborted foetuses should be treated like deceased human beings while living foetuses aren't treated like living human beings? What sense does that make?
And suddenly THAT bit from The Stick of Truth seems a bit more plausible.
This is the day Resyk is founded!
Also what's the deal with comparing aborted babies to relatives?
You cant really mourn the life of something that hasn't even been born yet, if its never been alive.
I can see why this is a sensitive issue..
Its fucked up yeah, but I personally see why this would be a positive (it gets rid of the remains in the same way but they just use the heat..)
Why, though? You got some heat that you're putting to use, as opposed to just venting it outside. Why is it wrong to use a byproduct of a procedure like that?

It's not like they're going "Cancer ward is getting cold, toss some more babies on the bonfire!". They're running an incinerator for organic medical waste, and that includes some baby-bits and proto-babies. That incinerator takes a lot of energy to run, and that energy is then getting reused in the form of thermal to heat the hospital.
I'm not sure if I can explain why I feel like that. It just makes me uneasy.
I think the ones having the abortion should should know of the facilities disposal practice and choose where to go themselves.
basically:
it's not that burning fetuses is inherently wrong, its that due to some medical act you can't just burn them with medical waste, and doing it without the parents knowledge
i imagine that 95% of persons who have an abortion just say "i dont want to deal with it", but legally they're required to inform them
What even
snip misread
We should probably do this with all human bodies once the usable organs have been removed.
We should probably do this with all human bodies once the usable organs have been removed.
Human bodies are a terrible fuel for heating, it would be less efficient than what we do now.
One is being treated as no more than waste and one is being treated as a human (or just an animal).
true but its way more practical to treat it as medical waste instead of a dead body, i know its about treating it with dignity but its hardly a body to begin with.
if you have an abortion you pretty much don't give a fuck in the first place.
That's some generalization you've got there.
I always knew the Abortion debate was heated, but this is ridiculous.
There is a lot of things wrong with burning a human being, alive or dead, to heat a building.
thankfully aborted fetuses aren't human beings, so
Well considering you're pretty much ending its existence.. it's pretty safe to say that you don't care. I mean let's call a spade a spade.
It's not pretty safe to say that in the slightest, and I'm sure more people care than you might be inclined to think.
Which is great for parents who have babies that die accidentally, but if you have an abortion you pretty much don't give a fuck in the first place.
ya i mean the difference is, (especially in the U.S.) what is aborted is barely a body when it comes out, when a baby dies however they generally are a fully formed baby that just didn't make it.
of course i guess over here, with public hospitals not even being allowed to do abortions the point is moot since it has to be treated as medical waste then for the place to dispose of it
