No, I'm advocating that we stop being so dependent on a resource from a historically unstable region and that we stop using military intervention to secure that resource. The US takes dependance on imports to an extreme and it needs to stop.

The biggest threat to the relationship between Israel and the US is talking about it. The US has absolutely no reason to be so associated with Israel. How are they an ally exactly? Because they are one of the few countries in that area that we don't want to bomb?

i think he's a bad politician because he's like 100 years old and i don't think having someone who could drop dead from a heart attack at any moment as president is a good idea. oh and also he wants to have human rights put up to vote, that's pretty fucked. and he wants to go back to using gold. i like his drug policies though and i like that he's quite honest.

I think he does not want to go back to gold as a form of money exchange, just for cash to be backed by gold to prevent inflation. In other words you could go to the bank and exchange your money for its worth in gold. Thus pretecting the worth of the American dollar.
