Doesn't it seem a little weird to anyone that he dies not too long after he was denied euthanasia? In the end, it was for the best, though. I couldn't imagine living with an awful syndrome like that.

I'm sorry but feelings, especially a single persons', can't be the reason we change laws that are there to protect people. The reason to change them should be an objective assessment if there are people that only have a life so shitty that death can be deemed a better solution. And if the answer is yes, then we change the law to allow this man and everyone else to be killed.
If we don't go through this process, laws lose their basis and the next person doesn't profit from this at all, so we ended it for this one man, but we left all the others suffering, with a now completely broken legislation, as well as a government that violated a law that says specifically that a person can NEVER be harmed while said law is in effect. Not to mention that there have been decades of no one really giving a fuck and countless people suffering just the same, which shows that change is very much needed, but not to save this specific individum, but to actually prevent it altogether in the future.
This is my reason to argue this rather from an objective point, than to focus how this man could have been freed faster.

I'm completely pro choice. Drugs, gay marriage and abortion should ALL be completely legal. I'm not saying you have to pursue any of those. But I think they should be available as an option.
