I distinctly remember the Bioware damage control over DA2 and ME3 but I certainly don't remember systemic attacks based on social/political views, particularly on FP. I was pretty vocal about my distaste with Spore, ME3, and TOR and never once was accused of being homophobic.

As much as I love the show; this move was a bit too "liberal" for my liking.

IMO she makes some good points. Gaming totally has a problem with immature and insulting depictions of women aimed at titillating teenage male players, and it makes me roll my eyes every time I see it.
But, I can't say I'm a fan, because her entire reason for existing is to scold. She scolds players for enjoying the games, she scolds developers for not making games that measure up to her standards, she pretty much just scolds everybody for everything. There is only so much of that I really care to listen to.
The movement to make video games less immature deserves better than a scolding feminist caricature, and the movement to make journalism less beholden to the industry deserves better than neckbeards and rape threats.

Anita's says some really dumb things in her videos, but some of her tweets sound outrageously dumb for her standards.
Whether its McIntosh or Sarkeesian, though. I can't imagine they ever played the Witcher if one of them actually thinks that about the games. The Witcher is filled with liberal themes and has alot of strong female characters, one of which is based on Joan of Arc.

I could be totally wrong about this, but it seems like the vast majority of "feminists" love her (who know less than nothing about gaming), mostly because they assume she knows what she's talking about and she perfectly spews the ideological talking points.
I mean, she gets invitations to speak at universities, talk shows, information panels, etc. She's seems to be very respected in those circles.
