This is either one of two things. The US made up the death, or Iran is trying to force the US into releasing proof of Osama's death. I find both pretty plausible, but the the second being more likely.
For instance, Iran's stance on nuclear proliferation - who actually believes what they're saying?
I do. When their enrichment levels and claims are verified by the IAEA inspectors that are allowed into their facilities, the only reason to not believe them would be blind bias.
For what reasons? You have two countries claiming two different stories, and neither one of them are supplying proof. I don't believe either of them at this point.
The burden of proof is on the US.
Isn't the president of Iran a holocaust denier?
Iran also claims that they don't have any weapons of mass destruction.
Really?
I'd be more inclined in giving you a full reply why you're wrong if you weren't so dumb. Iran does not have nuclear weapons.
What the US is attempting to say is that they're developing the bomb (like Iraq/Saddam), in the process of doing so, which is also not true.
I'd trust the US over Iran.
Iran has no credibility in my view.
I'd trust neither.
But quite hilariously, I'd trust Al-Qaeda in this situation.
There was an article on it on it 10 years ago: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,41576,00.html
Bullshit, they can't even spell his name right.
Isn't the president of Iran a holocaust denier?
No, they never denied the holocaust, I'm not going to get into another debate explaining how MEMRI (Arabic to English translator by Israel's ex-Mossad head) manipulated his words as to if he were denying the denying the holocaust so I'll just post a link, read it: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article12790.htm .
And it's deliberate, just like how Ahmadinejd was falsely believed to have said he was "going to wipe Israel off the map" among with other crap media spouts (Osama bin Laden is living comfortably in Iran thanks to Iran gov't (look how that turned out  expected, nonetheless.) e.g).
[editline]12th May 2011[/editline]
Bullshit, they can't even spell his name right.
Nah apparently that is a valid way to spell his name (it's also spelled like that at www.FBI.gov) though I've always preferred spelling it as 'Osama' rather then 'Usama'
[editline]12th May 2011[/editline]
He also was even asked to clarify on if he really denied the holocaust amid the confusion, he said it explicitly: he does not: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2007/09/24/2007-09-24_irans_president_i_dont_deny_holocaust-3.html
The myth of him denying the holocaust should have ended right there, where he said what he really said. But apparently not.
I'd trust the US over Iran.

And you can trust the US government that said North Vietnam attacked a US naval vessel in the Gulf of Tonkin and used this to launch a war that took some 60,000 american lives and millions of vietnamese lives.
You can trust the government that said Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and launched a war in Afghanistan and Iraq and Pakistan and now even Colin Powell said it was all lies.
Iran could be just making this shit up because they're mad Bin Laden was killed.
I'd trust neither.
But quite hilariously, I'd trust Al-Qaeda in this situation.
Al-Qaeda confirmed that he was dead a few days ago.
In actual fact, everyone in the world is actually dead, and Osama managed to kill all of us and survived.
[editline]12th May 2011[/editline]
Al-Qaeda confirmed that he was dead a few days ago.
who's to say al-qaeda's leaders aren't controlled by the US.
Al-Qaeda confirmed that he was dead a few days ago.
No they didn't, actually read past the title and article itself. Title is completely wrong, a suitable one would've been "A Jihad forum vows revenge upon news of Bin Laden's death" Al Qaeda didn't confirm shit.
"Usama bin Laden"
not Osama, Usama. :downs:
"Usama bin Laden"
not Osama, Usama. :downs:
That's Fox News for you, every article with Osama on it comes out as Usama for some reason.

I think I'm gonna trust the BBC over fucking informationclearinghouse
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4529198.stm
I guess Russia was also responding to a bullshit translation
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4378948.stm
Kinda sad when we have a mod who moderates ITN trusting conspiracy sites over the BBC
Is starpluck some sort of an Iran fanboy?
That's Fox News for you, every article with Osama on it comes out as Usama for some reason.
Usama is another correct spelling of the name.
For what reasons? You have two countries claiming two different stories, and neither one of them are supplying proof. I don't believe either of them at this point.
So eh, you think bin laden is still alive or what?
because that's really the only option left
I would ask the same from USA, really.
Care to explain?
EDIT:
Yeah good idea Soda, just keep bashing Americans for no good reason with no other way of backing up your argument but by rating dumb.
Iran believes more conspiracy theories than glenn beck.

Usama is another correct spelling of the name.
Really?
But still why not use Osama? It's the spelling everyone's used to seeing.
So eh, you think bin laden is still alive or what?

That's the worst reasoning I've ever heard, I think that he's dead with his cause\time of death still unknown
That's the worst reasoning I've ever heard, I think that he's dead with his cause\time of death still unknown
and why would they both lie about that?
ITT: :tinfoil:
But yeah this whole thing is getting a little confusing and annoying.
and why would they both lie about that?
Oh, ok, I guess because I can't think up a reason for them to be lying they aren't.
You have two sides telling two stories and neither side is showing any proof, what the fuck are you supposed to do, flip a coin and blindly follow whichever side it lands on?
Is starpluck some sort of an Iran fanboy?
Yeah and he's pretty ardent in their defense in any thread about Iran, even going as far as posting conspiracy websites to refute people who think badly about Ahmadinejad.
Oh, ok, I guess because I can't think up a reason for them to be lying they aren't.

Accept that one of them might be telling the truth, but you don't know which one of them, instead of deciding for yourself that they're both lying?
If two scientific hypotheses each present a solution to something, but neither have any evidence, it doesn't mean that they're both wrong.

This isn't a scientific hypotheses. It's a matter of fact and fiction. He's either 10 years dead, ~2 weeks dead, or not dead at all. Until somebody shows some REAL proof, it's none of the above. A court doesn't just decide which side of the story they like better, they look at the facts and decide off of that. If I don't have any facts to work with, I don't have any verdict.

ITT: Fox news is 100% wrong and bias unless its something I agree with.
Are you actually using Fox as a valid source when 99% of the time FP is like "lol faux news is as trustworthy as the Sun!"
Tomorrow if Fox released something in defense of Israel you'd probably be the first to jump on it and call it false conservative propaganda.

You're the only person so far that's doubted Fox as a news source. Just because they pump out bullshit on a regular basis doesn't mean they can't print a good story, especially seeing how this is 10 years ago.
