God damn it now how will those 13 year olds wear their stripper boots to school now?
By providing sexual favors to the faculty.
I wonder if they've banned those big boots with metal bits one them that goth/metal types wear? One of the high schools near me has after someone got kicked in the stomach with them.
The whole thing's a broken down mess, and they're trying to fix it by plastering it with scotch tape.
More like bubble gum, a few band aids and a prayer.
This is a dumb ban, but at least it means the kids can't wear those stupid fucking Ugg Boots. It's a waste of money considering how they just look stupid.
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a sneaker stamping on a human face — forever.
In my school they could give less of a shit about phones. were allowed to use them in the halls and if the teachers chill then even in the class too.
My old middle school banned hoodies with zippers because "you could hide a gun in them" Yet backpacks and standard hoodies were allowed The principal even said "I know some of yall are sayin you can hide your gun in your backpack better than a hoodie... Yep, you can, but we aint changin the rules"
What the hell? How can a beep interupt the class, seriously,i will move to another dimension if this crap continues!
Read the comments in these articles it's hilarious. They are saying cellphones are distractions in class. They only distract the person using them :|
until the fucker turns up their audio, then I want to smash their phones
I think that they have a good reason to ban these boots for a good reason, though they should really think about what would replace these smuggling helpful boots. Pretty much ban one thing and something pops up to replace that one thing.
My school didnt have "nerd day" for awhile because my principal thought it was an insult to nerds. But later he made a "Steve Urkel day"
The ban on cell phones is ridiculous, anyway. A dumb rule leading to a dumber rule.
Cell phones are mobile computers with internet access. There is no way they should EVER be allowed in schools as all they will lead to is a shitload of cheating.
Cell phones are mobile computers with internet access. There is no way they should EVER be allowed in schools as all they will lead to is a shitload of cheating.
yes because looking at your phone in between classes will somehow help you cheat
Damn, at least you guys don't have to wear uniforms. Be grateful for that at least.

Plus, I use the calendar on my phone to keep track of things. I guess my school is one of the few that isn't absolutely ignorant with their cell phone policies.
I don't get why schools are so against phones and shit. In this day and age everyone has a fucking phone, EVERYONE. They need to adjust, all the schools i went to didn't care about phones. They just didn't want them out during class which was fair. Once you're out of class your free to do what you will.
I don't have a phone.
Cell phones are mobile computers with internet access. No. That means that my laptop I use for doing schoolwork shouldn't be allowed EVER because it's a mobile computer with internet access. Seriously, you need to see the dumb reasoning in there. Just because mobile phones could be allowed in school doesn't mean everyone will use them to cheat, that's a dumb reason.
Damn, at least you guys don't have to wear uniforms. Be grateful for that at least.
As if our school system could afford them :v:
My high school switched to uniforms in my junior year. They mercilessly cracked down on even the smallest offense. They were at my high school. Only black laces were allowed, at that.
If you want to know about shitty uniform code: I was sent to the office twice for not wearing a belt, on tight fitting jeans, they didn't have any extra belts for me so they had me sit in in-school suspension the entire day, I got a terrible stomach ache one of the two times and they wouldn't let me use the restroom so the next time I was sent up I just walked home.

And that's about as liable as using index cards as cheat sheets. BETTER BAN PAPER
ban pockets they can hide contraband in them
The ban on cell phones is ridiculous, anyway.
not really In my freshman year everyone (EVERYONE) was using their cellphone whenever, and the teachers couldn't really do shit about it. Eventually we enacted a policy - first offense you lose it for a day, second you lose it until the end of the next school day (meaning if you hit #2 on Friday you don't get it back until Monday), third offense and fourth offense are parent pickup and "Wednesday school" (sit on your ass and do nothing for three hours), and I forget which one's which. At lunch they don't care. And they generally let it go in the halls between classes (unless it makes you late then it's an offense). Something like that is fine. "keep in locker until end of day and never take it out" is not fine - because people will break into lockers if they know something of worth is in there.
Don't they have pockets? Or are those banned, too?
yes because looking at your phone in between classes will somehow help you cheat
Since when do you only have to look at it in between classes?
Damn, now I will have to hide my boots into my shoes.

Sure, put a restricting rule on it. That's understandable. But here's a situation I was in: School library, after school. My dad calls me, to arrange plans for me to get picked up to go home. I go outside the library so I don't disturb anyone with my conversation. The librarian says to me, through the window, that she'll take my phone away, because of such a law. I didn't feel like dealing with it at the time, so I just went back to where I was in the library, and quietly sent a text message to my dad. That's fucking ridiculous. I wasn't disturbing a single soul with my conversation, in the middle of an empty hall way, when no classes were taking place.
how is it legal for schools to take students possessions like phones anyway like what the fuck
Boots are too mainstream.
Next they need to ban assholes. Y'know, in case someone wants to hide something in there.
you know coming from Texas to Pennsylvania y'all have it easy. the dress codes are AMAZING I love how in the summer the girls can wear damn near anything. The only thing that b others me is the cell phones thing...you expect me to keep a 250$ electronic device in a locker that has no lock on it? are you batshit insane? I mean really in my old school if you kept anything worth more than 5$ it would be gone in an hour. And that was with lockers that locked.
