Or the fact that america helped rebuild japan from the ground up after most of tokyo and akin where firebombed to the ground. On top of that forcing the country to allocate spending otherwise aimed at Defense research and buildup on science and social progress.
We're talking pre-WW2 in case you didn't notice.

Flame much?
I already said my piece, you have yet to rebutt that.

Oh, you mean the piece where you said it wasn't their fault and you had to fall back on an argument that modern day Bangladesh can't speak for Bangladesh of the 18th century? Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with that, but it doesn't respond to the fundamental question here, is it their own fault that they're a shitty country?

So go up to "Joe Farmer" who tries to make an honest living, and tell him that it's his fault that his country is poor.
Fucked up huh?
I see.. in future I guess everyone will be accepted, and then maybe we get a better picture at what humanity is. It's straights, homosexuals, lesbians, nanosexuals and all kinda!

Cute appeal to emotion, but I'm not talking in an individual sense, but rather as a group of people and a sovereign state. Which I explained earlier in the thread.

No, it'll be just like today and yesterday.

Still not all their fault...know anything about the government of that time? Pretty much the same as it is now.

So what makes Bangladeshians inferior to other people?
Julius is just the most egregious example of those spies gooiers. Or how about your glorious president, Jacob "I had a shower" Zuma; "When I was growing up, an ungqingili (a homosexual) would not have stood in front of me. I would knock him out."
Are you literally fucking pissing me? Julius Malema has zero fucking power here, all the power lies with either the corporations like our mining industry investors, or with Jacob Zuma.
So what makes Bangladeshians inferior to other people?
His totalitarian ideals.
Man fuck you Africa and the Middle East
e: How are countries like Somalia and the DRC even in the UN? There should be a rule that if you can't run your own damn country, you shouldn't have a say in international policies. Get the warlords out of control then we'll talk about it.
So much win in one comment.
So what makes Bangladeshians inferior to other people?
It's more about poor people. I'm sure there are some very prominent Bangladeshians. (Is that even the proper nomenclature?)

Ah yes, Jacob Zuma. You can see his quote in my post.

Thank you for putting words in my mouth, and the proper term for it is "seeing clearly."

Oh, that's what they call that now.

You can't just chalk everything up to Bangladeshians just being a bunch of retards when history is made by individuals and seemingly insignificant events that snowball and change history. What if WW2 went a lot better for the Russians than it did for the US, and ended up Russia "winning" the cold war and being the worlds prominent superpower? What if Alexander the Great tripped over a rocked and died when he was 12 and changed the way the culture of the region would spread and develop?

That's what I wanted to say, thank you.

Indeed.

The Mughals? I think the first Europeans arrived in Bangladesh during the reign of Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, also known as Akbar the Great, who was a terrific patron of the arts, a great conqueror and administrator and very respectful of all religions and creeds, so it seems like a decent enough government for the time.

See Mingebox's post above. You don't have much ammo left after that one.
So you're saying German society should be responsible for Hitler's actions just because they're German as well?

Ah yes, I was expecting :godwin: to come up sooner or later. On the subject of Mingebox's post: I completely agree, but we are discussing from the perspective of Bengalis as a more or less organized group, not individuals. I think the tidbits of who did what is best left to another thread.

And regarding my post?
And regarding my post?
Well, seeing as Germany is a bona fide great power, your analogy is kind of faulty. Modern day Bengali have every opportunity to make it big, or even make a change for their country, just like everyone, everywhere since forever has always had. Some just have better conditions than others.

You know, Andrew Carnegie's first job was as a bobbin boy, changing spools of thread in a cotton mill twelve hours a day, six days a week. His wages were $2.00 per week.

Back then, that was a fair bit of money. Back then, houses were $6,000-$10,000 dollars.

Working conditions are very much comparable, or even worse than those in Bangladesh today, he had no formal education beyond basic literacy to speak of.

And Albert Einstein was dislexic, but managed to overcome the challenges associated with that.
There's exceptions to every rule.

No, he became a goddamn gazillionaire because he was an extremely hard worker, perserverent, intelligent and alert. Are you telling me there are no intelligent, hard working people in Bangladesh?
