That's what you've been hinting at.

Well, I'm not seeing any.

Have you been there and interacted with locals?

I'm talking about a Ratan Naval Tata kind of guy.
Can't believe Russia allowed this.
"They will take comfort from the fact that the UN does not endorse the protection of LGBT people against hate-motivated murder."
Does this mean that the LGBT's can relax because the UN does not help protection of LGBT's against murders?

"they" refers to the "homophobic regimes, death squads and vigilantes"

Wouldn't they be kinda happy that LGBT's die? Don't they hate them?
jamaica how could you? :smith:
I know right, I have family in Jamaica and they don't hate gays, I was pretty suprised when i saw Jamaica on the list.
Only one country from the middle-east didn't vote for this, can you guess which one? (Hint: it's not Iran, nor Iraq, nor Lebanon, nor Jordan, nor Egypt, nor Saudi Arabia, nor United Arab Emirates)...
They did not adopt the resolution, only a draft text was passed; even then, a newer draft has been written since the time of this article.

This is the revision vote, I'm not sure what text the revision has included or not, but I'd imagine that it re-includes the old language given the voting record.

Turkey and Cyprus?
Turkey and Cyprus?
I think he was referring to Israel, but Turkey and Cyprus also didn't vote as you said.
Thisispain, trying to put it on "da YT man keepin us down" again. There really is no way he could ever accept that the third world is a festering homophobic turd, in fact, if he saw a gay being beheaded in Mozambique or whatever, his mind would block out the memory as soon as it was over.
oh okay so homophobia just comes out of nowhere? explain how homosexuality was common and accepted in the same places that are now supporting this vote
I think he was referring to Israel, but Turkey and Cyprus also didn't vote as you said.
I know he was getting at that.
It also really doesn't matter; I know you and I disagree with regards to Israel's actions. But I think we should be able to agree that not doing one horrible thing doesn't invalidate doing other horrible things.

Oh, homosexuality was accepted in Saudi Arabia? Homosexuality was accepted in the Congo? In South Africa? In Africa in general? I do know homosexuality is accepted of sorts in Afghanistan, but according to them it's not gay if you're the one doing the penetrating a'la hellenism.

please, don't insult your own intelligence. you do know they use their bible as a rational for their actions right?

Uganda and a number of other African countries would like a word.

I doubt the Western churches have anything to do with this actively, all they had to do was to introduce the relgion in the first place.
Hey, how does the guy in your avatar hold both hands of the bicycle and open the mouth at the same time?

Please, try to do an argument without resorting to ad hominems left and right all the time.
So what you're saying basically is that Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brunei Dar-Sala, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Comoros, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russian Federation, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Suriname, Swaziland, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Republic of Tanzania, Uzbekistan, Viet Nam, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe all used the Bible as a rationale? I don't know if you noticed, but the majority of these countries are either Muslim or African.

Native cultural habits throughout Africa are highly hostile to homosexuals, as seen for example in the frequent "corrective" rapes of lesbian women in South Africa.
They were actually considering this? What the fuck UN?! What the fuck?!

What the fuck did gays do to people that make people hate them so much?

Deviated from the social norm.

Muslim countries still follow an abrahamic religion, all abrahamic religions are against gays, and "native African culture" is highly influenced by christian missionaries.
