Then we'd regulate corporations based in the US only to operate on US soil, and bam, jobs. Then we import raw material from our new territory and use it to manufacture and export US goods. The machine gets on track again, we get their minerals in exchange for a safer democratic society. Once they're stable enough to run themselves, we keep an eye on them. This is only an optimistic view, as Im sure plenty of things can and will go wrong, but still. Now for rerail: UN just wants to give rich people the opportunity to call someone gay and have them killed for it. Dont see what they find so detestable about their non-mainstream values.
