You Australian pussies need to have a revolution and demand your rights like MEN.
Stop being so passive.

World of Warcraft, then Half Life, then the internet! Hooray for government censorship!
So nice of them to protect people from themselves.

If you want to try and prevent the internet censorship, help with this.

Dear Facepunch,
The power of the internet is in collaboration. So, having asked you to submit your ideas for a TV ad turning up the heat on the Government's internet censorship plan, we're proud to announce the result: a sharp parody video that highlights how ridiculous the plan is - Censordyne!
We've pored over your suggestions and combined the best ones to make this video. Now we have to make sure it's seen in all the right places.
Luckily, we know where every politician, their advisers and political journos will be - on a plane to Canberra for the next sitting week of Parliament. With your help, we'll have this video playing on every Qantas flight in the country for that entire week:

Imagine that: every politician will be a captive audience; strapped into their seats and transfixed on the screen in front of them. We can even make sure our ad plays in the middle of the news bulletin - which they're sure to be watching.
That's also over 340,000 passengers who'll find out about the Government's unpopular and ineffective plan to censor the internet while flying around the country. What's more, they've got plenty of time to discuss the issue with those sitting around them.
Let's harness the power of the internet to save it - your contribution, matched by thousands of others like you, can take our campaign sky high. And it couldn't be at a more crucial time, with trials of the filter about to finish the Government will soon make a decision:
www.getup.org.au/campaign/Censordyne
To accompany the launch of this ad, we've teamed up with a host of organisations - from children's welfare groups to human rights organisations, who have united with us to oppose the Government's internet filter that will do little to protect children online, other than diverting resources away from where they're really needed.
Watch the Censordyne video, chip in to take it sky high, and read our joint statement here.
Thanks for all that you do,
The GetUp team
PS - Using your best ideas, we've made a video that spoofs the Government's plan to censor the internet. Watch it here and chip in to put it in front of every politician, all their staff, and every political writer as they make their way to Canberra.
We aren't the sort of people that have rebellions every 5 seconds because we don't like something, unlike some other nations I can name.
Huh, I live in Australia, and I don't see what the big deal is, theres NO censorship as yet, and that piece of shit net bill will never be passed in the senate, it's actually too impractical to be implemented...
On the other hand it is irritating that the classification board seems to feel it necessary to ban everything above the MA15+ restricted rating, they're just too backward to accept that an R18+ rating would actually benefit the adult audience, note that that does not necessarily mean we DON'T get the game, it means that we get a watered down version in most cases (F.E.A.R 2), but honestly this "censorship crisis" its not as bad as it sounds.
they should start banning people.
haha yes, Bannish them from the country :buddy:

Even though I hope for this to be true, in actual fact it's only a few senators away from being passed.
