All those brutal decapitations go straight to your hips.
They think I'm fat?! I'll show them fat! I'll cut soo many people with a chainsaw and pummel with a hammer that they'll need to give me a lipo!
Buying a game is voluntary...
Paying a tax is not What does the government care if I bought a book or Metal Gear solid with my money? It's not their job to tell me what I should be doing with my spare time.
More money for them? hell no.
Paying a tax is not What does the government care if I bought a book or Metal Gear solid with my money? You should be taxed, you evil person you.
Paying a tax is not What does the government care if I bought a book or Metal Gear solid with my money? It's not their job to tell me what I should be doing with my spare time.
I understand that this is a wrong taxidation in relation to cause for reasons people don't support it but i can't help but be in a different frame of mind for not opposing something that can only benefit society. It's not as if being bullied is a cause of any consumer experience that we can tax.
This guy needs to grow a pair.
Still a far cry from the days of jack thompson.
This won't do anything, such a waste of time and money.
Some form of exercise would be good too...
I was thinking of putting that in there, but since the bill concerns the U.S, I decided it wouldn't happen if I put that in.
Wouldn't taxing fast food joints be a better idea?
But those are stuff that the pre-digital age population actually consumes and partakes in :downs:
The principle being this is certainly flawed, but I can't say I'll be too fussed if it comes into play, because it'll be at most 60¢ on a $60 game.
Oh boy! Now my DRM-filled glitch fests can cost even more! People are totally going to stop pirating now!
We, the people, object to this; you are not allowed to push this through.
If only it were that easy these days.
"violent videogame" ... "to fight childhood obesity and bullying in Oklahoma." This is just stupid, children shouldn't even be playing violent videogames to begin with, so it's really the parents/siblings, whatever fault if the child is playing it. Or whoever sold the game to a minor before the recommended age.
There is a correlation between people who are violent and violent videogames, but that is not the cause. People need to learn how to process and analyze fucking scientific data/studies. Also, fucking child obesity? What the fork.
Please move out of the USA,leaving only idiots behind and watch the fireworks. And by fireworks i mean-oops,i can't tell that!
Why are you people so against this bill? It isn't a whole lot of money per game, and the cause is noble, if not completely retarded. If he proposed putting the money into something else you guys would probably have no problem with it.
It doesn't matter how much money and it doesn't matter if it's a noble cause. They're penalizing something that doesn't deserve it.
wait, really? Only one state?
Physical Education is very highly required in Utah. You need like 1.5 credits of P.E.
-wrong thread-
I'm really starting to hate my state. They keep passing idiotic laws. Frankly, video games need to stop being a scapegoat for the fact that parents aren't doing their goddamn jobs anymore.
It doesn't matter how much money and it doesn't matter if it's a noble cause. They're penalizing something that doesn't deserve it.
Video games don't contribute anything in their own right and i'm sick of hearing how they deserve retribution. It's like a mcdonalds fan praising their food isn't bad in quantities and you got to be stupid to become fat/addicted. 'Stupidity' a viable source of evidence.

William Fourkiller can go fuck himself.
What are with all the stupid bills and shit this year
Childhood obesity? Seriously? I want to see the studies done on that.
This is how it went: "Our previous half-assed studies show that inactivity combined with eating leads to obesity...video games are a form of inactivity, and children love to play them, therefore, video games are the cause of childhood obesity!" How they say only "violent" video games are the cause, it shows they have some form of mental retardation.
we should start a posting tax so awful posts like this can at least bring some revenue in
I'm trying to defend a point. Why don't you address it instead of being a prick.
I'm trying to defend a point. Why don't you address it instead of being a prick.
because your point is idiotic and doesn't make any sense
wait, really? Only one state?
No, we have it here in California too
