Millions would die.[/QUOTE] I think for South Korea (and their allies of course) to have any chance of preventing this would need to "start" (well resume) it by taking out as much as possible with air strikes etc.

Brink of war =/= War

Alright guys, I'm growing a little concerned that this might elevate, given the fact that North Korea has nuclear weapons capable of reaching American soil, and am starting to give serious thought to a plan to survive nuclear war. Fallout shelters, what are necessary for them to be effective? I have access to a fallout shelter in an abandoned government building, but without power would it still be effective at providing protection from radioactive debris? I don't know if the air filtration system is still intact or operable.

Basically nothing is going to happen until Sunday when the US and SK begin naval drills in the Yellow Sea. (No pun intended) I think technically, it's Saturday in the USA when these are occurring due to the international date line I believe.
