The ban is basically advocating theft of physical copies from store instead of torrenting. Don't get me wrong, I am against torreting things, but think about it. This is the other extreme. If they were choosing between stealing the game from store, robbing the store owner or pirating it, whouldn't pirating it be lesser evil?

Given that the average game (case, manual, and disc) weighs in total about half a pound or less and costs 50-60 dollars new, it takes about 28 of those (assuming each weigh exactly 0.5 pounds) to equal the weight of a boxed PS3 or Xbox 360. Even if those 28 were 20 dollars each, they'd still be worth more than either of those consoles (unless we're talking the original launch price for the PS3, in which case the PS3 is worth 49 dollars more.), for the same weight. If you have a limited amount of weight you can lift, you'd probably go for the stuff that would get you the most money total while still being carryable. So really, these guys were smart in their pick. Even more so for it being a popular game.

i just want to get this across right now - despite its fanbase, call of duty is a very high quality series (note that i don't include mw2, that game was just crap)
