i think people should be more concerned about what problems the icecap shrinking will cause to ecosystems and the land rather than bickering over fucking oil as usual, it wouldn't surprise me if people are purposefully letting the icecap shrink so they can get they're greedy mits on the oil.

I can see a lot of fighting happening in the snow, and a lot of it will be special forces combat. Your average infantry man isn't trained for super cold artic climates where touching the metal on your gun gives insta frost bite.
