Nightclub critised after offering free entry to women with exposed cleavage
Now, is your problem with the girls - or the guys who have constructed this situation?
Mostly the guys who are offering it. I can understand why they do it, it still pisses me off because doing it the other way around would result in a PR shitstorm.
I have a local club that has "womens night". Free entrance and drinks and women only till 1 o'clock.
After that it's 5 € for men.
I always think it's some kind of breeding program.
Only if it has condom dispensers in the bathrooms, which are oh so conveniently empty
A local stripclub in my town advertises on the radio that they'll give free admittance and drinks to anyone who shows up in "t-shirt and panties". I feel like they probably should clarify.
One of my friends bigger brother pulled such stunt off at a bar that had the same offer going on.
I've even seen the pictures from that evening, not exactly a pleasant sight :v:
I think it's interesting to note here that now most women are complaining that they feel degraded for having to show cleavage if they want free entry, but not raising issue at the fact that most clubs have always been giving out free entry to women anyways. That's also degrading for women (and sexist), why else do they think they're allowed free entry at clubs? Affirmative action?
It's completely different. A club can't be successful (unless it's a gay club) if it's all a bunch of men. One offers incentive to women for coming to their club, the other coerces you into wearing revealing clothes.
Women are all for equality until they start losing their little perks.
you realize how this is p. much MRA reasoning right?
Which I think is a shitty thing to do?
EDIT: like imagine if you went into a pub and your first drink is free solely because you're a man and going to pubs is a men's thing.
The opposite of what you said totally is a thing, though. Most popular bars already have "Ladies Nights" where women either get a voucher for a free drink, free admission, or reduced drink prices. Getting more men to come to your bar isn't a matter of promoting better value, it's a matter of dragging in more women.

I know. And it's still weird. Part of me wonders if removing the "ladies' nights" things all across the board wouldn't make it even out, because I doubt women go to bars solely for the free drink, and if all bars stop doing it, women will still go to the bars and not to the competition that does offer free shit. Just pay the same price as men would.
I don't know, I guess I'm just irked at the double standard. Sure, it's a minor thing and nobody minds, but if the opposite would happen, everyone would get angry at the bar.

It's not really a double standard at all, they do it for profit. You guys are acting like you're being disadvantaged because women get this hilariously small 'benefit' of getting free entrance to clubs.
MPs are getting involved now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-21902806
Tracey Crouch, Conservative MP for Chatham and Aylesford, said: "This is disgusting and degrading to women, particularly at a time when we're trying to do such good work to improve the body image of women of all shapes and sizes.
The poster even says 'it's not about the size'

I don't understand how it's degrading to women. Displaying one's body is not degrading.

objectification for monetisation bla bla bla

Basically saying you're worth more if you dress provocatively, and enticing women to dress a certain way. Also the poster literally just being zoomed in cropped photos of boobs is the worst part to me.
Prob gonna get dumbs for this, but that's why, and you shouldn't tell people how to feel about things.

The waiving of the entrance fee is to benefit the guys anyway, not the women. £3 is neither here nor their in this day and age.

It's to benefit the club, more women = more men = more people = more profit.

Yeah, I see that. It's not dumb at all, thanks for the explanation. Was the 'you shouldn't tell people how to feel about things' aimed at me? I don't think I did that.
It's to benefit the club, more women = more men = more people = more profit.
Yeah I spose so, I mean if you have two clubs and one is offering free entry to women and one not, then the women will go there and in turn more men.
I guess that also means that it makes it unreasonable for clubs to offer identical entry if one doing the asymmetric entry is nearby, so it ends up happening everywhere.
It's a sad day in politics when the same MPs that can't read a simple flyer are the ones that are closest to paying our biggest bills.

no, just at people, if you don't see why someone should be offended by something you should listen to what they have to say about it
people like that ^^^^^^
My brother went to germany when he was 16 for a school trip. The kids in his host family took him to a russia night club where guys with tank tops and girls with mini skirts got in for free.
