This has almost happened to me so many times
I can relate(no furry)
Is this really an issue for you? You're willing to trust someone with your phone but you're afraid they might peak into your things?
I keep intimate photos and videos of my fiancée that I wouldn't want friends/family/children coming across. Accidents happen and if the functionality is there, why not?
Multiuser can already be enabled on JB/KK phones with an xposed module. Why you'd ever want to do that I don't know, but you can.
What's with this website and people equating "that's not useful for me" with "that's useless"? You guys do it with video games too. "I don't like that game so it's a bad game".
I don't see why people are complaining about this. If you think it's a dumb idea, you don't have to use it. It's there for the people that want to use it. NBD

Here, it goes more like "How dare you use something I don't," or "how dare you X what I don't," followed by a box war, then thread derailment and several bans followed by silly posts in the refugee camp, and on a good day, major drama in the RC typically yelling at the mod who issued the ban, resulting in ban extensions, and permas, followed even better by repeated gimmick alts that return to the thread to continue derailment and box wars. And when things calm down, the cycle continues somewhere else on the domain. God bless our moderators. [sp]Except Craptasket, so rude amiriteguys xDDDD[/sp]
Mods only usually ban when you have an opinion that differs from yours. ( User was banned for this post ("YOU'RE WRONG" - RustarryNiceLadyGurantorkelaanusNiandrabenjMaxOfPostasketjitsupluckashmanlezbonnytekizydUK) ) Besides yes people on here seem to feel their opinion is ultimate (User was banned for this post ("Fake ban" - Craptasket))
No reason to spit on a new feature (as long as it doesn't fuck up with the rest). But really, I have no idea what practical purpose it would serve. My smartphone is something personnal, I'm not handing it to friends. Family? I'm not sure a single call every month because they can't find their charger makes multi-users interesting. Besides I'm sure every household has at least 1 cellphone (or at the very least a regular phone and a computer). Kids? As mentionned earlier, there are programs for that (and dirt cheap phones / tablets for them).

Why spend money buying phones for every kid and household usage when you can just have one with multiple accounts? It's like people don't want to save money.

I'm not even going to explain why sharing a phone with friends doesn't work. Hell not even your family (considering the amount of time we now spend on smartphones and the fact we don't all live in the same household). Kids playing on a phone would be the only realistic use I can think of and yet I'm not sure handing over a device going up to 600€ to a 12 years old is good idea, especially if you're a working man who really need his phone. If you're old enough to have kids I'm sure you can eventually buy a 80€ smartphone / tablet (even less if it's second hand) for your sperms to play Angry Birds.
This would be great for me.. I tried modding it in with 4.2.2 but it's really shoddy. I want to use my phone as a personal and business phone, without worrying about wiping my personal data. Using an app to do it is nice, but I would certainly like better integration with the system itself. If the users could have totally separate storage partitions and account setups, this would be perfect.
Why not? Because you say it? Believe it or not, phones nowadays are almost equal to laptop computers. What's wrong with having user accounts? I can imagine it being especially useful on the tablet the entire family uses.
The word almost is really a strong word for how you're using it.

For the most part, they were entirely separate, and had their own folders. Not sure how secure it was.
The word almost is really a strong word for how you're using it.
Not really. While modern laptops always will be ahead, many phones outperform several laptops that are being commonly used today.

Whatever it was though, it didn't let me separate accounts (maybe just an issue with the ROM I'm using) and I was afraid that whatever command to wipe data would do so regardless of virtual partitions
Might be handy though if Google would provide it as an option whether or not you want the multi-user service enabled or not. In my case I have just my phone, and I'd never let anyone use it except for my brother, who doesn't give a crap to look through my stuff, and besides I don't have anything interesting on my device at this moment.

Tablets especially. You're claiming the feature is useless because you personally have no use for it. I don't use half the features android offers but I can totally see how they can be useful to other people. People become so rustled over a feature they won't ever see if they don't use it.
