Monsanto's Roundup may be linked to fatal kidney disease, new study suggests
Like seriously. If you inhale any form of pesticide or herbicide you'll fucking get internal organ damage.
Farmers in industrial farming societies use filtration systems when they use it or they do it out of dusters. These guys can't afford it and inhale it all the time, thus leading to kidney damage and such.
I wonder how we can fix the inhalation problem while maintaining food production.
i remember reading something a while ago though that linked arsenic ingenstion in these same regions to the rice that they eat though, apparently asia has unusually high concentrations of arsenic in the soil
Yeah, the high arsenic concentration in crops is caused by overuse of ground water, makes the soil compact and squeezes out the arsenic like water from a sponge, contaminating even the deepest wells.

Could include a free respirator with every bulk purchase of herbicides, but nah that'll dip into profit margins.

This is herbicides lol. If you inhale a chemical daily, a chemical designed to kill things, things will go wrong in your body.
imo gmo's are good it's the company behind them that's the problem.
you guys know roundup is an enzyme right, it like literally is completely inert if it can't find the right molecules to connect togather
the shit some posters are describing is more like agent orange

Scientific evidence apparently means very little to you, so is it even worth mentioning that there has been no evidence to support the claims that GMO's are unhealthy for you? The only adverse health affects observed were linked to pesticides, not the food itself.
I'm willing to bet that the biggest force behind the anti-GMO movement is monsanto. Think about it, no one in their right mind would try to start a GMO startup business because of all the hate and boycott they would recieve, effectively giving monsanto the monopoly that allows them to be the shitty company they are. We need MORE GMO FOOD. More companies doing it bends the incentives towards quality because if people think you're fucking them, they will switch to someone else.
GMO food is NOT the problem, it is only a technology and can't inherently be evil, the company that uses it is a different and in this case infinitely more horrifying example of how this technology can be used immorally and without concern for the health of its end user.
We should embrace GMO food with open arms and put money into proper research and moral implementation of it's use. This technology has the potential to literally end world hunger if used properly and without thinking of profit first, but until the public perception changes it will continue to be a profit-first industry. By fighting GMO acceptance, you are both continuing the world hunger problem, and helping the very people you are claiming to fight against by keeping competition out of the market.

Not an ad hominem of the subject of the argument is your idiocy.

You are possibly one of the most consistently awful posters here. How on earth do you sleep at night?

Me personally, I just load up on horse tranquilizers.
Shit works.

Sounds like the base for a Fallout 3 total conversion mod.
