I understand that you're angry but calm down.
You sound just like those people from ISIS right now

Sorry. I get kind of sociopathic towards people who butcher their prisoners, murder civilians and video themselves beheading my countrymen.
But even the Spec ops have admitted ISIS is an advanced enemy and different from what they've seen elsewhere. The members of ISIS of veterans of other conflicts across the globe, and the one to look for Foley was useless.
Didn't the strike team to rescue Foley only fail because they'd moved him not too long before they went in?

And yet you're fine with capturing people in order to murder and butcher them and send them back to the members of their family who are ISIS. You do realise that their family members are 1. civilians and 2 probaby have no control on whether or not their family members are part of ISIS.

Won't work. Apart from the fact that it's kind of strange, doing this to people who we despise for exactly the same reason, it just straight up won't work. The known leadership of ISIS is most likely not the end of the chain and are just "public" figures. Terrorist organisations are often just like that, decentralized.
Way to provoke USA. It's like the worst thing you can do.
Why not just give them the money, and then when we have her, we just kill them and take the money back.
Because that would completely destroy the credibility of the US in future prisoner swaps with any other nation or organisation.
I hate to say this, but she is pretty much dead if we don't send spec ops in to get her. We won't send money to them.
But, however.
6.6 Million in drone strikes coming your way.
Honestly, Id be surprised if Task Force Black isn't already all up in this shit, this is pretty much what the S.A.S are all about.
Boots on the ground in iraq and afghanistan because of the war on terror was a lost cause from the beginning. If we put boots on the ground in Syria now, we have a clear goal of destroying ISIS and then leaving.
If you simply "destroy" them, the vacuum will be used by others.
Look at what's happening in Lybia, shit's fucked up

- If you fail to kill them you have just given them a ton of money and access to a bunch of high end equipment.
- The group as a whole can still boast they got the US to comply.
- It'll only work once and that one time will never be the one worth burning that strategy for.
- You're fucking handing 6.6 million dollars to terrorists. That's not a good idea in any situation, even if you plan on taking it back a minute after.

Not only that, it will most likely backfire and encourage more situations like this.

It's a good idea if you pay it in tomahawk missiles
