Effecting unemployment negatively would imply that unemployment is increasing as immigration increases. That is not what I'm saying, what I'm saying is that unemployment in this country will not decrease if there are people from other countries taking the low-waged unskilled jobs that British people could be taking up. So why let them in if there are people already here who could take the jobs?

It's not that they deserve anything more, they just need to be working. 1.5 million people claim JSA, that needs to be paid for. I think it's important that we focus on reducing unemployment before introducing more people to the labour force.
