Of the people who will come to this country to pay taxes, consume, start businesses etc. Can those people not be brought in on a points basis? Could they not be on a temporary visa of a few years to ensure that they will benefit the UK? Why do we need mass uncontrolled un-checked immigration to achieve those things?
Because otherwise we are being racist.
well, with imagination, you can do anything! :) [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] you dont know how immigration in the UK works (you cant just walk in)
I take it you've never been to UK border control? It's unbelievable how relaxed it all is

Even in the middle ages there was a degree of control on the movement of people. [editline]28th January 2013[/editline]
I take it you've never been to UK border control?
I take it you've never been to UK border control? It's unbelievable how relaxed it all is
please, tell me more
There's your problem.

well, with imagination, you can do anything! :)
You two would be surprised...
it's not ""unbelievably relaxed"", it's very easy to bypass though even with the recent 'crackdown' on student and immigrant visa overstays Border Control rarely chase these people up
You two would be surprised...
i'm a facts guy, roc. i love statistics, graphs, studies, citations, you name it. take me out to dinner here, wine and dine me. make me feel like i'm yours
You two would be surprised...
I don't know what you mean by that.

Lets just keep it at that... I'm already taken ;)
Since when is immigration mass uncontrolled and unchecked? Even in the middle ages there was a degree of control on the movement of people. [editline]28th January 2013[/editline] Give me an example.
You wouldn't call 600,000 people coming to the UK each year mass? Any one within the EU allowed access? 160,000 cases of immigrant just going missing? That there are no criminal checks at all? Also given the very relaxed visa rules anyone can enter the UK and not leave after their 6 months has expired. And the first hand example of walking straight through border control to and from France without having to show my passport, along with everyone else boarding the train. Entering the UK via airport is as simple as showing your passport, whereas inn the US there are full finger print scanners and you have your picture taken upon entry.
fucks sake give us actual information or stats instead of these bullshit coy replies
unfortunately border control doesn't exactly like giving out stats on how many people it chased up vs how many got away [editline]28th January 2013[/editline]
You wouldn't call 600,000 people coming to the UK each year mass? What am I, INS?
mass immigration =/= uncontrolled mass immigration i assure you, it's all very controlled
it's not really, but it still seems to work fine
And the first hand example of walking straight through border control to and from France without having to show my passport, along with everyone else boarding the train. Nope, none at all.
What am I, INS?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burden_of_proof
it's not really, but it still seems to work fine
by very controlled i mean, there's nothing to worry about in terms of immigration security.
And as we all know the US has absolutely no problem with illegal immigrants. Nope, none at all.
The problem with illegal immigration in the U.S. is the immigration laws and how restrictive they are. The immigration is beneficial to the U.S.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burden_of_proof by very controlled i mean, there's nothing to worry about in terms of immigration security.
Holy shit, you don't need statistics to know lots of people, immigrants or not, evade taxes.
What am I, INS?
Right, well if you're not going to back up any of your claims then why bother? We're obviously going to get absolutely nowhere.
mass immigration =/= uncontrolled mass immigration i assure you, it's all very controlled

i'm a facts guy, roc. i love statistics, graphs, studies, citations, you name it. take me out to dinner here, wine and dine me. make me feel like i'm yours
Please, assure me.
Holy shit, you don't need statistics to know lots of people, immigrants or not, evade taxes.
did you know less than one percent of people are benefit fraudsters
did you know less than one percent of people are benefit fraudsters
not including the immigrants being talked about right now as they aren't included in most government statistics
did you know less than one percent of people are benefit fraudsters
And did you know that statistics are lots of times wrong?
And did you know that statistics are lots of times wrong?
but they're right lots of times aswell
And did you know that statistics are lots of times wrong?
Better than the ~fuck all~ you've posted to support your argument.
And did you know that statistics are lots of times wrong?
did you know nearly 100% of what you say isn't verifiable
Well, i'm from balkans and it's not great, but if i had 2 choices, move to UK or stay, i would stay...I would like to see some stats on suicide rates in UK compared to more southern european countries...that weather man, i would be depressed all the time.
Better than the ~fuck all~ you've posted to support your argument.
Which is still more than what you've done in this thread so far.
