The rapist raped his victim on purpose while a driver would hit someone running into traffic by accident. A more apt analogy would be if some guy was walking on a sidewalk and then someone driving a car made a fully conscious decision to swerve into the sidewalk and run him over. Even remotely blaming the victim in these cases is just idiotic.
