I doubt she truly and honestly understood what she was doing. She probably only thought it owuld make him go to sleep and be quiet. Just leave her alone, for God's sake.
You can't really blame the girl. She's only 5. She doesn't understand the consequences of her actions. Sure, when she's older, the memory will haunt her and she'll be pretty distraught, but for now, she can't grasp the concept.
No, it's actually not. The only reason why it's so horrible is because of how much you fight. In the military I heard that, you're taught that if you are stranded in the water with no craft, and no other means for rescue or survival, the best thing to do is put your head under water and take a deep breath. You will go unconscious with no pain almost immediately.
When my step father was training for the Special Forces, they had everyone "drown" to show them what it felt like. My step father said it was extremely peaceful if you don't fight it and just let it go.
After reading this, I kinda wanna go by drowning. Everything else seems painful.

Justifying why you don't plan on getting married
I drowned and CPR saved me. Which is basically dying and being brought back to life.
I didn't feel anything, you just choke on some water and you stop breathing. My nose and throat hurt afterwards.
Choking on water hurts my throat :smith:
Justifying why you don't plan on getting married
because you need to marry to have kids
because you need to marry to have kids
I think its the other way around
Its natural to know what death is and how its bad. But understanding the repercussions of committing the act of murder obviously hasn't happened with this kid.

Just out of curiosity did you have a dream while being dead/comatose or was everything blank?

If he says no, chances are he just doesn't remember.
If I remember correctly, children are able to differentiate, to a basic degree, right and wrong at a younger age than 5.
However, you can't really throw the girl in prison.
To an extremely basic degree. Human beings don't develop concepts of morality or ethics until after puberty.
Choking on water hurts my throat :smith:
Choking hurts because it's a reflex to save yourself and also because you "fight it".
As some other dude said, if you go with it, it's much less unpleasant.
While you're alive and not critical, your body tries to save you by causing pain so you cough out the water.
Dumb people need to stop having babies.
Dumb people need to stop having babies.
never have kids then
That's why you get a maid.
That's why you get a maid.
Why not a babysitter instead?
That's why you get a maid.
They had a baby sitter, it was one with special needs apparently.
she can't be arrested, an why the hell were they left with that mental girl? parents should get criminal neglect.
They had a baby sitter, it was one with special needs apparently.
I think he meant a normal babysitter.
Although if they hired that 16 year old chances are her 'mental disabilities' have nothing to do and have little effect on the case, it isn't mentioned what is her actual problem.
To an extremely basic degree. Human beings don't develop concepts of morality or ethics until after puberty.
Are you daft, that would mean that no high school student or teenager would have any idea what morality or ethics are, and that's just so obviously false.
if the kid is thinking this way now, when she gets older she's probably going to cut people's heads off for putting too much pepper on her salad
pepper?
in a salad?

i would cut someone's head off if they did that to me

When I was still doing Boy Scouts, we had someone help out who did do the training, at least to some degree.
According to him, drowning is actually incredibly painful because of a lack of oxygen going to your limbs, like when you exercise for a long time but much, much worse. Of course, everything starts to feel pretty good once the lack of oxygen to your brain makes you high. :v:

Oh god, kids are gonna start drowning themselves to get high. :byodood:
I heard you get knocked unconscious before the oxygen gets very painful. I actually almost drowned when I was six and it kinda felt like falling asleep underwater.
And that's why I'm never having children.
That's not the only reason :smug:
The parents should be charged with gross fucking negligence.
Stupid assholes.

Man I wouldn't be able to look my kid in the eye ever again after this.
I'd put them up for adoption or something
To an extremely basic degree. Human beings don't develop concepts of morality or ethics until after puberty.
So you're saying a 9 year old wouldn't understand that it's bad to kill someone?
This is going to follow the girl her whole entire life. I doubt any employers would hire her because she's "the girl that murdered a baby".
