Bobby Kotick wanted to play Battlefield 3, EA didn't let him.
That's an arguement not to let him cut in front of you. It would force him to use that cash, if you know what I mean.
Well I would let him in front of me with the expectation that a nice reward would be given.
Bobby Kotick is nothing if not generous.
The MW3 gameplay was boring, tedious and unoriginal. It looked exactly like both its predecessors without hardly introducing anything new. Even the e3 Kinect demonstrations kept my attention longer .
The Wall Street video wasn't very interesting but I liked the submarine part.

Not to mention that everything visual was recycled. Weapon animations were recycled just like MW2 did, textures are also ported from mw2, effects for smoke, flames ect were definitely the same as MW2 and even the arm rig was an exact port. But at least we can call it an eco friendly game as it recycled everything it had.
Haha at the people saying Kotick is going to steal their ideas... he's not a games developer...
Seriously, there'd be nothing wrong with him playing the game.
Yet this is what fuels a ton of titles. Games get funded by people that want to make money (excluding companies like Valve that are privately owned and run on fanboy tears). The difference however, is in how much freedom the actual game development team has and how much they're allowed to do new things and break new ground.
Fanboy tears? You fucking wish, Steam is huge and widely used, Valve has more business than Hat Fortress and Portal, you know.
I have to respect Kotick for being such a god damn good business man. He really did turn making games into a lucrative as hell business. Granted it is just milking, but it's milking that works and works well.
Sure as hell pisses off the gamer though.
Good for him for making so much dosh, but still
what about the customer? :saddowns:

What Kotick does is equivalent to mashing a single button in a fighting game. Sure, you might win every time, but it's quite boring and bars you from experiencing any of the depth of the game.
I thought he hated games
He doesn't hate games, just the people who make them.
He probably wanted to play it earlier so he could make up some bullshit about it being "flawed" or "Make it CONSOLE only" or some shit.

But what does she look like?
It was't Kotick that was denied entry, it was the CEO of Activision (Kotick if CEO of Activision-Blizzard, and yes, they're different).
So much Kotick and MW3 hate in this thread. It's not as if Kotick actually has any involvement in the production of MW3 anyways.
Also it annoys me that some here go on to rate people dumb if others mention that they enjoy Call of Duty games (like up the top on page 2). I don't think some people have heard of opinions. Either that, or they are selfish.
I'm anticipating dumbs from selfish people.

Activision is an American video game developer and publisher, majority owned by French conglomerate Vivendi SA. Its current CEO and president is Bobby Kotick.
You can have an opinion, but that doesn't mean your opinion isn't dumb.

But how is enjoying Call of Duty dumb?

You can have an opinion that Crock of Dump is good.
I can have an opinion that Crock of Dump is bad and overpriced. I can also have an opinion that someone who buys it, and doest give a fuck that he has payed 60$ for something that's worth 10$ tops, and that he's probably going to do the same thing next year, is dumb.

So rather than disagree with someone's opinion, you'd just consider them dumb?
If your opinion of others is that they are dumb, that just makes you selfish. Way to place yourself on a moral high ground.

Wait wait wait, first of all I said that I would consider someone dumb if they would enjoy and be ok with paying 60$ for CoD, not for only enjoying it. Damn I liked mw2 myself, wouldn't be worth the money at all if I payed for it tho, I got it as a present.
Second of all, I can think that certain people are dumb simply because of their opinions. If someone has an opinion about black people that they are inferior and should be slaves, I will not only disagree with him but I will also think that he's dumb.
I mean seriously, wouldn't someone's opinions be one of the things that could indicate he's dumb?

Fair enough, I've always considered a person to be dumb if they act upon their opinions, and their act causes grief to others or if they present themself in a way that makes them look like a fool. I guess I just have a different definition on it than others.
I can have an opinion of your opinion that is about his opinion's opinion.
