• People tricked into thinking they occupy 3D simulations using VR

This has been done before just using mannequins and mirrors, it's surprising what you can trick the human brain into doing.
Hurrah, the power of the VR helmet is finally realized after more than 15 years of obscurity. It's a damn good thing I kept my Forte VFX1.
I wouldn't expect anything less from you pentium
Reminds me of this. It's amazing what the brain can do and how it reacts to different things.
No. No you wouldn't. Because if you got killed in the game, YOU'D FUCKING DIE.
This isn't the fucking Matrix, buddy.
No. No you wouldn't. Because if you got killed in the game, YOU'D FUCKING DIE.
Makes it more fun.
Today, virtual stroking. Tomorrow, virtual stroking :q:
do u mean heart attacks or dick wanking?
Minecraft in VR
Guys, they didn't realize they were getting stroked with a REAL baton while their avatar was getting stroked with a virtual one on screen. This isn't real VR.
re-read the OP; you missed the point entirely
Minecraft in VR
lame dead island in VR
Same thing happened with my Virtual Boy
And more evidence comes down hard on spirituality(as a concept of "out of body"ness). [editline]18th February 2011[/editline] and also, holy shit when can I have this for modern video games?
Sounds like it's better for modern porn TBH.
Same thing happened with my Virtual Boy
We still have ours. Mario Tennis was the shit.
Just imagine every RPG game with this (TES, Fallout, Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc.) Oh shit I really want it.
In before some stupid twat goes "LOL DIS DISPROVE RELIGIN OCNE ADN FOUR ALL!! :downs: I WONDER HOW RIGHTWING NUTJOB FRUITBAR LOLDURAMERIKUH STOOPID AMIRICUNTZ WILL AHDNLE DIS?1??11 :downs: :downs:" and starts a war in this thread.
It's funny, because whenever someone types pretending to be stupid, they actually end up looking stupid themselves.
So you plan on starting it before anyone else?
I want to try this now.
You might be already.
also I could see this creating a new age for porn.
No. No you wouldn't. Because if you got killed in the game, YOU'D FUCKING DIE.
I thought it wasn't real. Your mind makes it real.
also I could see this creating a new age for porn.
:jerkbag:
do u mean heart attacks or dick wanking?
A Stroke isn't a heart attack, It's when blood stops flowing to the brain.
A stroke is an interruption of the blood supply to any part of the brain. A stroke is sometimes called a "brain attack."
My grandpa had a stroke recently, he drove to my house walked in the front door and collapsed. Now he can't talk right, drive, or live alone anymore. :frown:
People with a weak heart, maybe. A healthy human being? Doubtful. Stress can kill a person, but that's a long process in which the heart slowly breaks down and stops functioning properly, not an instant reaction.
Yeah, the only way a normal person would die is if they spent too much time in the game, and then went out and tried to dodge cars, or what have you, because their brain has adjusted to a reality without severe consequences. [editline]21st February 2011[/editline]
Sounds like it's better for modern porn TBH.
In the 20th century, the impetus for technological development was armed conflict. In the 21st, it is porn.
There is no spiritual explanation for an out of body experience. It is all in your head. It is your mind becoming confused with what is "Me". Also, your metaphor is a fallacy. The areas of the brain stimulated during an OOB experience are the same as the ones stimulated during this induced OOB experience. Therefore, it IS an OOB experience, as all an OOB experience ever is is a specific stimulation within your brain.
The fact that your mind can become confused with what is "me" is very interesting in itself. You could wonder how firmly that "me" is fixed to your body. I've had some interesting experiences on LSD where my girlfriend and I got confused over which body part was whose. Not that we didn't KNOW which was whose, but when e.g. I touched her leg it somehow felt as if it was my own. There are even theories by serious scientists on how our consciousness might not be as firmly attached to our brains as we think...it all has to do with quantum mechanics, which I really don't understand..I just read an article in a science magazine... One scientist I remember them citing though is called Amit Goswami, so if you feel like digging up some material on what I just said, you could start with that name.

"Me" is basically anything you have the potential to directly control with your mind. For example, imagine that a ball is coming toward you. Your mind sees an object flying through the air. It knows that when an object is going in a certain direction, it will tend to follow that direction, also calculating in gravity and such. Your mind then realizes that the ball will strike you if you don't act. It knows that a ball striking you can have negative effects on your body, so it decides that it must stop the ball. This requires a force to be exerted. This is where your mind must understand what it has control of; what is "Me". It knows that your arm is part of you because when it sends a signal to it, it responds, and sends back a feedback signal. Many years of experience teach the mind exactly how to control the arm and respond to its feedback to fine-tune the movements. Through this experience your mind knows what signals to send out to reach out and catch the ball. After a successful catch, your mind rewards itself with neurotransmitters, reinforcing the path that helped you successfully avert disaster. Human consciousness & life are actually a lot more simple than they seem. We're really just organic automatons. There are no spirits or souls, just reactions based on perceptions. Sorry if that stopped making sense at any point, I'm really just spilling out my thoughts.
