World War Z film is going to be a generic zombie action thriller, Internet ragefaces

Well, I guess that's that. :suicide:
Even if it isn't like the book, perhaps it can redeem itself by just being a great zombie film. Something creative, intelligent, and well made. Like Half-Life and Deus Ex. Not just a mindless explosion fest like Call of Duty.
My face when:

inb4 they cut Yonkers from it
I like generic zombie action thrillers.
NOOOOO! This is even worse than that time that company made a video game called Fallout 3, which was totally different from the other Fallouts!
Hollywood didn't you learn from Inception? It confused it, and it wasn't what were were used too(and we loved it). Don't be afraid to make a sci-fi documentary. It doesn't need to be action to be amazing!!!
I can almost guarantee the raptors will probably have inner monologue...ie voices. Either that or some fruity British narrator is going to...well, narrate every goddamn action they take.
The only way a Raptor Red movie adaption would go well is if there was absolutely no dialogue at all. Hence why it wouldn't make a good movie. But hey, Hollywood is Hollywood, they can pull anything out of their ass.
They actually were making a Raptor Red movie but it fell through, maybe because it was going to turn out as you said and Bakker told them to do it right or fuck off. If only Max Brooks could/would say the same for World War Z.

*raises hand defiantly*
I will not see it if there is no scene with guys in silly blue uniforms standing in a line killing zombies to The Trooper.
How the hell did Max Brooks agree to this script?
If this movie goes shit, it'll really lower his reputation.

You are the reason Hollywood destroys original ideas and spews out the same shit over and over.

I pictured that scene when I was reading that part. Fucking awesome
zombie movies are so fucking done

Why can't Max Brooks tell them to do it right or fuck off?
Or is there some legal bullshit that says he can't.

You obviously haven't read the book.
Ugh... This might be worse than the Eragon movie that killed off the most deadly villains of the next three books within the first half of the first movie.
"30 Minutes or Less" is rated fucking R but the ultra graphic World War Z is rated PG-13.
That was already a sign that this was in the shitter.
I'll watch a trailer before I have an opinion. As WWZ it might suck, but as its own movie it might be pretty good.
I'd find a petition or something to sign, or boycott or something but I want to see a trailer too and as it is, it wouldn't do any good. They're too deep into the hole to stop production.

I'm pretty sure that after they pay for rights, they can do whatever the fuck they want.
Oh well, I guess we've still got The Walking Dead.
I was so excited for this, hoping to see the Battle of Yonkers of course, but also things like the Victory at Avalon.
I actually hoped for a zombie movie that had a global setting and just felt immense.
But I suppose we'll get an alright zombie thriller with Brad Pitt instead, what a shame.

Oh well, I guess we've still got The Walking Dead.
As far as I am aware, The Walking Dead may be about to sink too since they screwed with the budget, fired Frank Darabont, and have been terrorizing the crew.
This is ridiculous, I hate how movie studios handle this. And I have lost all respect for Marc Forster and Brad Pitt for allowing this to happen.

And I'm wondering if Max Brooks sanctioned it or not.
Could still be a good movie but I now have hardly any interest in it one of the best points of the book was the format of the story
Who the fuck cares, it's zombies in it.
Yeah and it's also PG13 so expect really tame looking zombies, and, if Yonkers takes place, a very tame version of it as well.

Skip to 5:40, and he'll answer you himself. But watch all the parts, he's hilarious and entertaining.
He actually liked the first script draft, but that was ages ago. He's said nothing on the current script.
he's hilarious and entertaining.
I'd expect nothing less from the son of Mel Brooks.
