How long do the authorities intend to keep the local people under curfew? Will the army bring people supplies? Will people unable to go to work be compensated for lack of earnings?

The Chechen struggle pivots on Soviet history, Russian imperialism, etc. It's a struggle of identity in which the US plays no significant cultural role.
