It's like everything is automatically shit if it isn't produced by NATO countries or Russia.
Well uhhh have a look at it again.
Looks like it's made of cardboard that's been sloppily painted black.

Thank you for proving my point.
Because this happens every goddman thread ever, Chinese reveal a new fighter? A new ship? "hurr its gunna fall apart :)" Any arabic country purhasing or constructing anything is automatically outdated/useless/shit by FP's opinion.
[editline]2nd February 2013[/editline]
Also the jetfighter looks goddamn kickass, are you blind?
It looks a bit like it was made of plastic, like it was a dummy.
I love how they've poured millions of dollars and thousands of man hours into this and once finished just displayed it in what looks like someone's cattle barn.
They have some weird shaping going on back at the engine. If you look closely it has saw toothed panels at the landing gear compartment. Maybe its a cheap attempt at a stealthy light fighter?
They are called chevrons. They reduce turbulence and noise in subsonic flight. The new Boeing dreamliner engine nozzles have similar edges.
in all seriousness though that's some major anhedral going on at the wing tips, i wonder why they did that

NATO, Russia, and China. (contrary to popular belief)
Yes, those three entities have an established and well-funded military complex that is filled with brilliant scientists that work around the clock to produce the best possible machinery to support troops. Air superiority complexes are almost half a century old and have a significant head start on smaller nations like Iran, for example.
That, and the fact that Iran has never produced anything that attracted worldwide praise or attention, means Iran is terrible at making equipment.
Iran isn't the "underdog" that you need to defend at every turn.
Iran seems to want to be on the list(i doubt they have enough knowledge yet to do that)
Looks like a chicken.

You won't be laughing when this thing detonated your country.
You won't be laughing when this thing detonate over your country.
This seems a bit more likely

Except this one is clearly made of cardboard, if you want people to be impressed it really helps to show the real thing and not just some sloppy mock-up.
They need to take down that Christmas decoration in the corner.
All they did was copy the F-35, and re-did the wings. I don't know why they shaped them like that, reduce loss of lift during tight turns?

Looks like a toy, seriously.
All right then. Who think's it's actually gonna work?

If I didn't see a video of the fucking thing flying I'd swear it's fake
[editline]2nd February 2013[/editline]
Just re-watched the video of it flying. I'm calling this whole thing a fake now god damnit
"It even uses a power cord!"
Well, windwakr and smeismastger are definitely Iranian.
no gunfox yet?
Think someone should check up on him.
I bet they have no idea why they gave it that body shape and did it just because the f-22 does

It's just another mockup of the cockpit alone sitting on the floor so people can see it, it is a toy pretty much.

apparently any country but the usa is now devoid of engineers?
It looks like someone made a frame out of plywood and covered it in cloth skin like a WW1 era plane
It looks like a sleeping corgi. [thumb]http://www.tagroom.com/wp-content/uploads/Six-sleeping-corgi-puppies-1.jpg[/thumb]
I like the design but question the feasibility of it's flight and it's performance against American, Russian, and Chinese fighters of similar capabilities.
The jokers in this thread are forgetting that Iran is big into aerospace and has placed satellites in orbit with a more successful record than South Korea.
South Korea isn't exactly known for its satellites
