The women were probably concerned as hell about their kids' future, when someone gave them hope, they bought it, I'm pretty damn sure they felt horrible all the time, but they pushed on, because they felt it was the best for their kids. Being gullible isn't something you should be punished for. Also, I dislike how they referred to the man was "sicko". What about being unbiased?
