You guys should watch the BBC show called 'Pound Shop Wars'. The people who shop in these sort of places are literally so hard up that that extra 3p per item will be tempting to them. I remember a part of it in my town where they ask some people which of the two stores is better (Poundworld or 99p stores) and someone actually says something like 'Poundworld is a much nicer store but at the end of the day it's a penny more expensive so 99p stores wins'.
It's quite sad, really.
Some of the stuff they sell is quite useful, such as car cleaning stuff, compared to Halfords where it's about £7 for one sponge
I love poundland
1.5 litres of coke and 12 packets of crisps for £2
