ITT we you do not understand why NK has been let to go on like this for 50 years
Nk has enough artillery and troops to level major SK cities in a few hours and take it by shear force in a few weeks.
China does not think Nk is a "pimple" and does not want NK to get involved in anything big out of fear of mass immigration of refuges. They have alot to lose in SK and the US being on that border as well.
My bet is that nothing happens and this was just a power play for more leverage in talks with the UN and the US.
If shit does go down I can see china suppling the NKA like Russia and China did with the Vietnamise army and Vietcong

That's not really the problem.

Why would he be? Do you really think larger global powers are going to invest their economy and military in a conflict in the Koreas? I can see the US being particularly interested in keeping the peace in that region.

SK has 8 million in reserve. Russia has 20 million in reserve.

It's a dictatorship which most likely has mandatory military service and training for all males over the age of 15-18?
That means all male adults with capable bodies are reserve troops.
