How effective is the states indoctrination in North Korea? Would the people really be happy with a occupationally instigated revolution? Or would they resist? I imagine if we could get their standard of living up quickly then the people could be won over. If not, it'd probably just result in another Iraq, but without the oil I doubt the occupation would stick around. You're right that there haven't been recent incidents, though I doubt the response would be drastically different i.e. they're not going to glass the northern part of the peninsula.

North Korea could nuke America, but I don't think we could nuke them. What would we get out of it? Slaughtering millions of brain washed and hungry people. Nuking North Korea would just push it back even further into the stone age than it is now.
