Why the hell would Russia take it as an advantage to attack America, that would make no sense.
And America have already stated they don't want to get into the NK v SK War if it occurs.
Actually, we would get involved, along with the rest of SK's allies. The Pentagon is already working with SK in case the North do something retarded again.

Once again, from Al Jazeera:
PENTAGON: U.S. TO COORDINATE WITH SOUTH ON ANY RESPONSE TO AGGRESION
Posting for a new page.
SK alliances: America(?), Australia.
NK alliances: "Cha noted that Kim also is aware that China and Russia — crucial backers in the Korean War — would not assist his army in the event of a new war on the peninsula."
Are there more?

Well, not counting the US
The UK, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Ethiopia, France, Greece, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines South Africa, Thailand, and Turkey. They were all involved in a combat role, and are still involved, in the Korean War. The Major participants would be the UK, Canada, and Australia.
This doesn't count all of the countries that would enter if things got hot again either, as any country in the UN is obligated to help.
The SK are backed by the world.

Let me guess, you're a 13 year old weeaboo and you love Russia because you think all Russian people are hard core vodka drinkers
From what I gather, I think it's back to the good ol' stalemate. North Korea is probably not going to fire again.

They said hours ago that they weren't going to deploy more troops there.
This may lead to some rather fascinating turn of events. Hopefully this won't escalate, but if it does, Seoul is going to feel the pinch early.
This might escalate to a full war, hope that doesn't happen
My Mum said, that China now has the oppritunity to take over Taiwan. The country they've been lusting for for a long time.
True. Take it when no one is looking. Perfect time for India to conquer all of Kashmir too. And for Germany to get Alscale & Lorraine back.

Pretty tense stalemate, both sides are coiled springs waiting to go off if one of them just looks at the other funny.
Why does america get involved so much? Or is it the allies protect me thing?
You do know what it means to be Allies right?
I don't get why we're getting all riled about this if I'm honest. North Korea has done far worse than this in the past 30 years and nothing happened then either.
We will have all forgotten about this in two days.
Nothing is going to come out of this, NK wouldn't dare to fire a single BB to the general direction of the border, not on this year.
Why does america get involved so much? Or is it the allies protect me thing?
Sort of Allies, and the small fact that they're one of the worlds superpowers.
Famous last words.
South Korea has admitted it was the first to fire the shells. However it says the firing was part of a military drill, not directed at North Korea.
:ninja:
They said hours ago that they weren't going to deploy more troops there.
How does that have anything to do with not helping. We have multiple divisions over there as is, which is more than enough for a supporting role.

Shhh just play along
Sort of Allies, and the small fact that they're one of the worlds superpowers.
Sort of allies? South Korea is one of our biggest allies. They're our Israel of Asia.

This is the first time since the armistice that artillery has been fired directly at SK, at a civilian population none the less. It was admitted by North Korea that it was intentional and not the result of miscommunication. It's a different situation all together.

That's a horrible comparison.

I knew I spelled it wrong, I just couldn't figure out how so I just left it :saddowns:
South Korea is more like another Japan to the US.
South Korea has admitted it was the first to fire the shells. However it says the firing was part of a military drill, not directed at North Korea.
Though that was bad of NK to do it, it was pretty stupid of SK to do such a drill so close to the border, let alone in a contested island like that.
That's a horrible comparison.
Yeah, it is, but the only one I could think of.
Though that was bad of NK to do it, it was pretty stupid of SK to do such a drill so close to the border, let alone in a contested island like that.
Could just have been an excuse to attack SK, but you never know.

SK routinely does drills there, and the island isn't contested, the armistice agreement gave it to SK.
