I don't want a war like this to break about mainly because it's conventional and will cost [i]a lot[/i] of lives, but the longer it drags out the worse it will get. North Korea probably thinks it can get away with anything right now, and to be honest, they probably could if we keep acting the way we do towards them.

IMO, amputate the limb before the infection spreads.

The problem of NK being taken out, the radius of the melt down would likely not just impact the South, but North of the North, and poison the water with the radiation from the melt down. That atomic waste has to flow somewhere, not to mention state troops still in the South part. Why do we know that it could meltdown? Does anyone remember during the Bill administration that they trusted educating the North how atom power works? I hope they at least stick to their initial promise and don't betray us with shroom droppings. What bothers me is how everyone around acts so unexpected like, dare I menton again Autumn 2077 in the Fallout version of America, where they don't realize how strong the shroom cloud droppings were coming. I don't know why everyone keeps mentioning WWIII, you know it, I know there are chems so big and devastating that it could all end long before it could ever be documented in this "living" version of Earth. However, I will not mention where, but by living in a place that used to have such nukem acid, since removing such nuclear waste, it seems that the chemical, just like water can slowly, but strongly leak out, at least the radiation can, and somehow get in the ground and air, even if just the one nuclear silo has been gone for a decade. Its like if you are behind a windshield, its wet, but when you touch it, the water somehow got to your side through the glass, despite the window has not cracks in it. You know what, I don't care, these guys that threat the rest of the world, I don't care which country, I hope they don't realize that holding such atomic waste in their arms is slowly killing themselves too, the real reason it was decided to be done with in some places. I know what I say sounds weak, but its like this, if someone drops stuff on you from the sky, from across the prime meridian, and you don't have a means to prevent or run and hid from such action, your going to turn into an ash pile. Please, please God don't let the US life altering conflict continue to escalate even bigger.

I vote we let SK be the full occupying forces. Though I don't really think "NK is full of brainwashed fighters" that will lead to years of insurgency, the mere amount of resources in keeping an occupying force there and administrating is something we really need even with out an insurgency. And if there is... let it be SK's problem, they want unification. Let them take it.
