If North Korea is provocating the world way to much, hell will be unleashed on North Korea. North Korea is in possession of a pretty large army although they heavily suffer from lack of supplies and food to support the army. The country is slowly falling upart. Considering that North Korea has a lot of enemies, they would not win anything during a war. Even China would not support them, the whole world is against the regime of Kim Jong Il. Would rather be a bad move.

China is basically the only country backing North Korea, and if they suddenly decide to cut off trade with NK they will be fucked. However they shall not do this, because they don't want all the North Koreans to run over to China and ruin the growing economy there.

You guys aren't looking at the big problem. If NK starts shit with SK then JAPAN will want to build up their forces, since NK is a pond away from them, If japan starts a military program then china will want japan to stop, And japan won't with the threat from the koreas. Then china will lose relations with USA because we aren't controlling japan. They may invade japan and start with the korean war as well. Fate hinges with Japan and South korea's decision.

And why the hell would NK want to invade Japan to begin with?

Just because they aren't allowed to, doesn't mean they won't. look at pre ww2 germany. NK is damned crazy as it is. Japan won't like a war going on that near to them. They've been waiting for any reason to raise an army as it is anyways. This may be their reason.
