Yes, I'm being sarcastic that they illegally and undeservingly invaded the country. What could be considered wrong or harmful about that?
I'm fairly certain they don't want to be illegal immigrants, they just want to be immigrants, and coming illegally was really their only option at the time.
Well duh. And I want to go into a club pool while I'm sitting in a shitty public pool. Doesn't mean that it's okay for me to break in and get in the private pool. So because I'm already in the private pool area, I should be able to gain membership just because I had already broken in?
If they don't want to wait the 10 years to immigrate to the United States, they can immigrate someplace else. There's plenty of other countries that are willing and ready to take them.

Living in america is not a human right
If they aren't going to go through the effort to come here legally, they shouldn't becoming at all.
I COULD enter a luxury golf course by climbing over the fence because I want to, even though I can't afford it- that doesn't mean I should or that it's right.
I'm more concerned about them killing themselves.
They get lost and die in the desert, get swept away by the Rio Grande, run out of water and suffer heatstroke, get betrayed by coyotes who leave them to die, etc.

you keep saying "people shouldn't do this." it's like saying people shouldn't rob banks or evade taxes.
well they DO, so we have to deal with it, and we're not dealing with it the right way.

the system is already inherently flawed, saying "if you don't like it don't immigrate" isn't a valid defense.

I understand that, and agree fully. However, he was excusing illegal immigrants just for the reason of "they wanted in".

I think you need to realize that legal isn't the same as ok (we create new laws to restrict actions) and that illegal isn't the same as wrong (we repeal or alter laws that serve no purpose or are worse than not having them).
So please, actually describe what is wrong about entering a country to live there without jumping through the gigantic hoops the country sets up. I did nothing to live in this country, why does an adult have to do so much more?

But why should these things even be necessary in the first place? No natural born citizen has to do this stuff.

Who said legal is the same as okay? Plenty of laws are messed up in this country, that's inevitable. But if they're willing to break our laws to get in this country, why should we expect them not to break any other ones?
You were likely born in this country, much like your parents I assume, and theirs, until one of your ancestors immigrated here. We're all immigrants, unless we're native americans. But the difference is whether you came here in a time when any and all immigration was accepted or you immigrated here legally for a better future by doing all the necessary actions, thereby allowing the government to know that you actually can do something productive here and don't expect to have everything handed to you by other hard-working Americans, or you came here illegally, not giving a shit about the laws that are enforced here and thereby proving to the government that you cannot be trusted to stay within the country limits appropriately and require being sent from whence you came. Of course, things aren't as black and white as I describe, but this gives a little perspective as to why immigration is so heavily enforced.
It's not like our country is the only alternative for them to go to, nor the only place where they can gain better opportunities. Hell, Canada is completely appreciative of Mexican immigrants, and they aren't treated like second class citizens there either.

Well...
Yes, I'm being sarcastic that they illegally and undeservingly invaded the country. What could be considered wrong or harmful about that?
Seems to claim that it's only wrong/harmful because it's illegal. I was just being thorough.

There are so many loaded statements in here, such as:
...But the difference is whether you came here in a time when any and all immigration was accepted or you immigrated...
What my parents did is immaterial to why I'm accepted as a child as a citizen, having done nothing. I am not specially 'Mercan just because I was born in the country.
and don't expect to have everything handed to you by other hard-working Americans,
Yeah, the illegal immigrants working hard labor in the fields are just whiny and want everything handed to them. What the fuck kind of messed up view do you have of these people? And don't forget, legal immigrants receive more benefits.
or you came here illegally, not giving a shit about the laws that are enforced here
This is an amazingly baseless claim that is simply not backed by evidence. Do you think people that smoke marijuana - despite it being illegal to do so - don't give any shits about the laws in this country? Breaking one law, especially one that has no proper purpose, is not indicator of overall criminality.
It's not like our country is the only alternative for them to go to, nor the only place where they can gain better opportunities. Hell, Canada is completely appreciative of Mexican immigrants, and they aren't treated like second class citizens there either.
That is not a reason for it to be hard to impossible to immigrate here.

"smoking marijuana is illegal and people still do it. how can we expect these monsters not to go out and murder people and steal, hell they clearly don't care about the law!!"
are you dumb or something like seriously? i love how the argument always boils down to "they're illegal!! you cant be here mexicans!!", as if the very prospect of them being illegal is a good enough explanation. nobody bothers to explain why it SHOULD be illegal (apart from a jarhead with a home invasion fetish), its just illegal because its illegal and thats how it is. clearly if they're willing to break the law to immigrate they'll be more than willing to steal and murder from us hard working americans who worked hard to be conceived inside the womb of a woman living in america.
All I'm going to respond is:
"Of course, things aren't as black and white as I describe, but this gives a little perspective as to why immigration is so heavily enforced. "
If you don't like the way things are done here, you can write a letter to your congressman or start picketing government buildings. Or you can try to get yourself in a position of power so you can put progress in work to reverse the legislation. Or, lastly, you can try to found a country yourself where all immigration is legal.
Until then, don't attack me as if I represent the American government and can do something about it, or that I'm a total supporter of it, when in reality I'm simply explaining the reasoning behind the strict immigration laws.

I'm not attacking you as if you represent the Government, I'm attacking you because the opinions you voice are dickish.
I know why the laws are the way they are, Republicans (and people in general) were heavily racist against Mexicans. Everything since has just been rationalizations as to why they really deserve to be treated badly.

shut uppppppppppppppppppppppppp
shut up shut up shut up
stop posting if all youre going to do is say "oh no no these aren't my views im just saying, this is how the american government views it!!" we fuckin know what the govt thinks, we're aware of the laws and the supposed "reasoning" behind it, we're saying that the laws and the stance taken by our govt sucks and we are interested to hear why you disagree. so if you're not going to represent your own views SHUT UP because you are contributing literally nothing to the discussion by reminding us "what the government thinks". and stop with the congressman line, idk if you've just trained yourself to repeat that bit whenever someone makes you look stupid or if you genuinely think writing a letter is going to change anything but either way nobody needs nor wants to hear it

Would you please define what is exactly wrong about people immigrating illegally?
Why exactly should living in America be exclusive?
