oh no how will the world ever turn without 4 animals
Its not specifically the animals that is the problem, its the fact that they let something happen in which lives were lost and a home was destroyed.
Even if they would have got in trouble for it they wouldn't lose their job or anything significant, they're assholes plain and simple. And apparently s0beit and tetra are too.
They let a house burn down and four lives be taken, all for $75.
What has our world come to.
Oh, but they were just dogs and cats.

And an expensive house and the mans belongings.
If there is any justice in the world, be it in the form of God, karma, or what have you, each one of these firemen will lose something precious in a fire.

hey, what the fuck man.
what the fuck, just water that shit down.
Yeah I live in Knox county, TN. My local fire department just switched from donations to fees. Fees are based on your square footage.
If you don't pay the fees, then you will be forced to pay approx 2,000 USD per hour (most serious house fires will take 3-6). Granted they still put the fire out, but you will have to sell your damn house to pay for it.
What is funny is that I would have totally donated to the fire department, but they make their donation requests look identical to bills. Had they just sent out a letter and made it clear that they wanted donations, I would have donated. But nope! Dickbags.
How is this their fault? Why are they required to put out the fire?
If you do not pay your bills and lose your electricity is it the electric company's fault? No, it is yours for not paying. Things are not free and you are NOT entitled for them.
YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO THINGS YOU DONT PAY FOR.
If you lose your electricity you will sit in your house, in the dark, be pretty bored and probably a bit cold until you pay for the bill. Not quite as serious as your house being burned down, as well as your pets being burned to death. Not to mention people could be inside, I would love to see the firefighters stand there and watch whilst listening to a little girl screaming from inside...
:ohdear:
From what I read, the house wasn't even on fire when they got there, he offered money, and they STILL wouldn't help, that's a very horrible thing to do, and this guy probably doesn't have the money to get a new house, its all about money anymore.
Anybody with half a heart would have helped regardless of trouble they could have gotten into...
[editline][/editline]
Read more, makes more sense now, but still, they were there while his house was burning.
Things like Ambulances and Police and Firefighters should come out of taxes
Yeah, but then they would have to charge you for something they would just make up like a Police Assistance License or something...
God bless America. Sure is nice having social health care, and a social fire service. But you guys don't need that, you're all living in the capitalist heaven, were you only get what you pay for.

Home of the Free!
Things like Ambulances and Police and Firefighters should come out of taxes
That's because you're Australian, where our services are paid fully by the taxpayer.
In most other places they're only subsidised, and often need to source their own revenue.
In my opinion there's something inherently fucked up in the privatisising of prisons and fire departments. No money-making business should ever be paid essentially based on the amount of inmates in its prisons, or the amount of fires it's putting out.
Terry Pratchett expressed its absurdity pretty well in some book, but I can't find the quote.

Capitalism, ho!
What the hell is this, ancient rome?
What the hell is this, ancient rome?
No, No it's not.
If it was we could throw these assholes to the lions.
I wonder if they would have done the same if there had been people trapped inside.
Pretty much everyone is only seeing one side of things.
At first glance, they may seem like assholes, but they were really just keeping themselves out of trouble. If they would have sprayed water at the house, put out the fire but leave some water damage, the homeowner could have turned around and sued the shit out of the city for watering down his house even though he didn't pay the 75 fee for a reason.
They were just looking after their own livelihoods. Firemen are people too, they have bills to pay and families to feed; they'd be just as fucked as this dude is if they would have put out that fire.

I'm ok with this.
Why not pay them like $500 to put out the fire not 90 a month or w.e it is

It may just be me, but I really can't get my head around the fact that you have to PAY to have a fire in your home put out. Your fire service isn't run off taxes?
Well, I suppose you'd still be paying for it even if it were run off taxes. But atleast that way, you know you're covered regardless.
What is this shit?!
They probably would have got in trouble if they had.
Get in trouble for saving someones home and pets? Yes yes, they'll be huge shit for that. Probably all lose their jobs for..you know..doing their jobs!
I don't see what 75 dollars means to anyone when it is a Firefighters obligation, his oath, to fight fires!
It's like saying a Police officer will be forced to standby and watch as you get raped in front of him or murdered. What would his excuse be? "I didn't get paid so I did the only thing I could do. I made sure he didn't rape someone who did pay."
If this was something where the actual fire fighters could have helped (read: they didn't have a heartless fuck for a boss that didn't tell them), they should burn in a fire.
oh no how will the world ever turn without 4 animals
That's not the point you retard.
Isn't ANYBODY forced to help people in danger? (If they don't have to endanger themselves)?
I hope those fuckers die horrible deaths.

Wow. I'm fucking speechless.
The worst part is when the fire spread they put it out of the neighbors as they paid but not his house.
