Canon 5D Mark II used to shoot entire House season finale, director says it's 'the future'

Season finale after only 9 episodes? Lost gets in like...20 before ending a season
It has 22, it's just that they've finished filming or something, so they can give details out.
Keep in mind the 5D isn't a wimpy P&S or a DSLR with shitty video capabilities. [editline]01:41AM[/editline]
A regular camera costs tens of thousands of dollars just to rent.
no [editline]01:41AM[/editline] They probably cost over $10,000. But not to rent.

Studio Camera - >£50,000 inc lens Sony XDCAM Broadcast HD422 - £22,000 (used for news gathering) Sony XDCAM PMW-EX1 - £4,500 (solid state, HD 1080p24/25/30, decent Fuji optics) Canon XL H1 - £4,000 (MiniDV based, decent camera, interchangeble lenses, SD version used in 28DL) Sony HVR-V1E - £2,500 (MiniDV based, cheap, near-broadcast, used by BBC with HDD recorders) Sony HVR-A1E - £1,700 (MiniDV based, cheap, old camcorder, with pro audio. Still used by some places) The sub 4.5k range has nowhere near the flexibility of the the Canon 5D. Only one has interchangeble lenses, and it only records onto tape. The 5D can take many lenses at a lesser cost. It also has a 35mm eqiv sensor, making it look more film like, which is a good effect. In short, it's a fucking nice camera.

With a shot of mercury.
Maye like that one episode of CSI Las Vegas where that college kid follows the crew around while they investigate one of the murders?
Is this like a viral marketing or what?
Is this like a viral marketing or what?
Just something different i guess.
Marketing stunt?
The 5D is sexy
5D is bloody cheap for what it can do.
Sounds like a stupid thing to do.
I love how people are reacting like it's going to be the same quality as their cameraphone or something. My Nikon D5000 cost only 650 (without the lenses), and it takes BEAUTIFUL 1280x720 HD video. Standard TV broadcast resolution is only 480x320 or something around there, and DVD quality is 720x480, just for comparison.
