So if you're emulating Wii games, what would you do for controls? Do you use Mouse and Keyboard, or find a way to get the motion bar + controller to work on the pc?

I was playing kirby air ride with my brother and dolphin crashed :v: welp
No, you need to use a console for it or an odd disk drive that can read them(they are not common), the gamecube disks are encoded in a unique manner compared to standard disks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_optical_disc
Actually quite a few fairly common drives can read Nintendo Optical Discs. You can use a real Wiimote and get a wireless sensor bar, or even just use two candles if you're in the mood to do something really juryrigged.
last time I played brawl online it was extremely laggy. People were stuttering from one part of the stage to the other.
Brawl's online play is pretty shit in that regards. It's the same on the actual system.
did they ever fix the issue with wind waker audio problems in the wii emulator?
did they ever fix the issue with wind waker audio problems in the wii emulator?
Nope. Still crackling and popping in some parts.
Thank god this is finally out. The only major Wii/gamecube emulator and it had a ton of issues.
Nope. Still crackling and popping in some parts.
Huh? I emulated Wind Waker a couple years ago and it ran near flawlessly. Only problems were a few graphical bugs and some slowdown during boss fights. I don't recall any sound issues.
Nope. Still crackling and popping in some parts.
I would suggest reading the Wiki if you have any problems with games. There is almost always a solution. In the case of Wind Waker, set the audio to DSP LLE instead of HLE to fix the crackling according to the wiki.
I still follow the development of these. Apparently it's because the Xbox's hardware is so badly documented, the Nvidia GPU and APU being prime examples of hardware that will take years to figure out
Yeah I read about that, I wish someone involved in its development who isn't working there any tries and help make sense of it play some crimson skies aawww yeah
Hmm, does this mean we can finally play Star Fox Adventures? Sounds great!
im gonna play animal crossing and battalion wars till my eyes bleed
Are there any good tips on avoiding desync in netplay? I've made sure that my emulator has all the correct settings and that the memory card is disabled but it always eventually, if not immediately, results in desyncing.
The settings of everyone have to be exactly the same, and make sure that you're using the same ROM and the same version of Dolphin.
Yeah, I've made sure this was all taken care of, and yet desync is inevitable. I don't know if everyone is experiencing this, but results have never differed beyond "incredibly unstable"
Fucking hell. 10 years? thats such a long time for a project like this. Glad they stuck to it.
Just tried playing some Brawl over WFC and was getting some mad input delay. Does anybody know a way around that? I think I remember having the same issue on my Wii, though. Maybe it was just a bad connection.

No matter how far you are, the average Brawl game is laggy as all hell.
Would explain why the CPU Link beat both me and the human Zelda.
Does anyone know if this means you can cross-play Animal Crossing with a real Wii now?
What are some good Wii games that work fine with KB+M or a 360 controller? Basically games without waggle
The Wii just has awful internet play in general. No matter how far you are, the average Brawl game is laggy as all hell.
The Conduit had pretty awesome online though sometimes you would encounter hackers with rapid fire rocket launchers
Why the fuck would I even need to buy a wii anymore jesus. I just need a bit better of a computer and I basically get a free wii. With 1080p support.
Shit, copying my user file still won't let me use my old saves. Any ideas?
Why the fuck would I even need to buy a wii anymore jesus. I just need a bit better of a computer and I basically get a free wii. With 1080p support.
a wii is like 150 bucks the pc hardware to emulate a wii would be like 600
a wii is like 150 bucks the pc hardware to emulate a wii would be like 600
Yeah but then you also get to play PC games and other emulators.
If I have a 32 bit processor, will I be able to run this?
Stop strawmanning, if this was Xbox/Playstation/Vita emulator it still wouldn't be news worthy. Nintendo or non-nintendo, I don't think a new emulator hitting the internet is news worthy.
Thanks for having me finally understand what a strawman is, but you re wrong
