I didn't say it would be quick. The metric vs. imperial conflict is stymied over and over by 'states rights' arguments and such, but according to my brother who attended American schools, they pretty much only use metric anyway.
Maybe in science classes, but that's been happening for decades.
Pete Stark.
Well, to be fair, he didn't admit he was an atheist until after 18 years in Congress.
People like you give a bad name to ahtheists.
There are atheistic religions.
Finally, news from Australia that isn't retarded. She has balls, figuratively.
There are atheistic religions.
It's not like those are any better.
Holy shit, best news this month.
Awesome!
Good. Religion should never be mixed with politics.
This. I'm fine with religion, I'm religious myself, but it should never be mixed with politics. I saw a documentary about this where a catholic priest even said so himself.
It's one step foward.
And two steps back. [editline]12:23AM[/editline]
Seeing how religious run countries tend to be horribly corrupt, I guess this is a step in the right direction. She can work towards bettering the country rather than appeasing some floating dude in the clouds.
How are religious run countries corrupt? The world got quite far until the internet came along and geeks started spreading the atheism fad as if it's some sort of cult.
Epic research fail. The reason why you see more is that they can't be shouted down anymore by your lot.

People actually opened their eyes to logic and the understanding of the natural laws in our universe. "And on the first day man created God." -Anonymous
Atheism fad? Yea it's fuckin cool to be an atheist :c00l:
conservatives youse the same logic to go after communists and socialists they put down movements by saying they're confused kids
Has god ever done anything for the Government? Or do they just like to talk about him?
It's not a fad. People actually opened their eyes to logic and the understanding of the natural laws in our universe. "And on the first day man created God." -Anonymous
You know many religious people are still for science! They see them as two separated things. Although I do agree that when religion is being used in governments it's usually for reasons of corruption.
It's one step foward. While I have no respect for the current Labor Government, especially due to policies on the blanket internet filter, I have a lot of respect for Gillard as a person. She's intelligent and very down to Earth. She would make a great Prime Minister if she didn't have to put up with the previous Labor policies.
I still think she should have gone about becoming the Labor Leader better, but this is true. I like the idea that pedos will get caught by that filter though. Most of Australians anonymous will probably be accused though.

Because a lot of what science proves Religion disagrees with or tries to manipulate readings from the Bible to try and let it make sense. The problem is that the Bible is one of the most vaguest pieces of literature on the planet, yet so many glorify and follow it.
Give me an example that tells me where the bible disagrees with science?
Genesis 1:1?
Give me an example that tells me where the bible disagrees with science?
Flip to the first page and start reading. The mess begins there.
Genesis 1:1?
Silly me. Well, maybe you're right about that.
Give me an example that tells me where the bible disagrees with science?
Big Bang, evolution 2 from the top of my head And wasn't it religious nutters that said Earth was the center of the universe and the world is flat?
Still, many religious people accept science. And it doesn't really matter how you believe the world was created dpes it? Many believers combine religion with science.
Still, many religious people accept science. And it doesn't really matter how you believe the world was created dpes it? Many believers combine religion with science.
Actually, it does. W were suddenly created with a *poof* or the big bang
Actually, it does. W were suddenly created with a *poof* or the big bang
I said that it doesn't matter how you believe the world was created. One person thinks god created the world, the other thinks it was big bang; They should have no troubles getting along if they can accept eachothers view on the thing.
I said that it doesn't matter how you believe the world was created.
I said that it doesn't matter how you believe the world was created. One person thinks god created the world, the other thinks it was big bang; They should have no troubles getting along if they can accept eachothers view on the thing.
Well of course they're going to have trouble accepting each others belief on the universes creation; they are completely opposite.
That part is true, but I still get to think they are idiots and keep it to myself or the internet
Ofcourse, I guess.
Well of course they're going to have trouble accepting each others belief on the universes creation; they are completely opposite.
They don't have to get along with how the universe was created. I mean, I've got friends who don't have the same opinion when it comes to which soccer team is the best one, but they get along just fine.
What's all this about an internet filter?! I know Australia has a history of banning things, but a filter?! This isn't China people! Sorry if I sound stupid, I'm just a dumb American.
