And wasn't it religious nutters that said Earth was the center of the universe and the world is flat?
No, it was just the time of religious nutters when people were saying that. But anyway, who really cares what she believes in or doesn't believe in? If someone can run a government well it doesn't really matter.
And two steps back.
Can you explain why? Or are you just another that makes ridiculous comments in an attempt to sound intelligent.

No one expected her to be perfect. Nevertheless, gay marriage isn't a big loss. We have laws in Australia that allow for de facto relationships between any genders.
Good. This is one of the few areas Atheists are actually 'oppressed', so I would call this a major step forward. Hopefully the Americans follow suit and allow politicians to be non religious.
We already do. Any laws saying otherwise are unenforceable and would be immediately repealed if they were.
So she's not religious but is against gay marriage? what the fuck, that's like the only reason people are against it
Yea, it's kind of confusing. Pharyngula commentators have surmised it's pure pandering to voters, which makes more sense than not being religious yet being against it. The reason she supposedly gave is that she grew up respecting that marriage was between a man and a woman, which is a pretty bs answer.
I agree, that is a pretty ridiculous answer [editline]01:09AM[/editline] i'm not religious but I'm indoctrinated all the same! vote gillard
Great, at least some people aren't afraid to be honest still.
