Who cares if its EP3 or HL3. Its been in development so long and its going to include all the new source features since the release of EP2, it might as well be considered a full game worthy of a HL3 title even if its called EP3.

Except it would be completely illogical for them to skip Episode 3 and go straight to Half Life 3.

Half Life 3 would refer to a different story arc, whereas Episode 3 would refer to the current story arc.
