Yay for overly sophisticated simple things.
I thought it would show the statistics of the Olympics, that would be cool. But no, it's stock rates. I can just imagine a bunch of hobos crouched around the screen staring at their invested companies. :/
How the fuck will they cost 500k each to maintain? I don't get that part.
"Quick, theres an attack happening!" "Nah, that's a load of rubbish"
I was hoping it'd be a circular bin with one of those flexible OLED screens around it. Nope, just a clunky looking trashcan with a screen.
And then watch some chav just spray paint all over the fucking thing.
Why in God's name do you need up to date financial information on recycling bins? Who doesn't have an app on their smartphone for this? If you're trading stocks I'm guessing you're not getting your financial advice from a can on the side of the road
i am ok with my tax money going towards this nevermind lol its private investment, im even more fine with this now

You can see weather is displayed, travel information as well as the date/time. News will most likely be on them too.
I want them to come with happy faces and very polite insightful comments.
I can almost see justifying that if it wasn't $47448.
£30,000 isn't that much really. Considering the money would of been wasted on some other shit anyway. Like this: [t]http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/04/29/article-1381851-0BD3C5E500000578-147_634x733.jpg[/t]

I'll just show myself out before I foot put my mouth in again.
How the fuck will they cost 500k each to maintain? I don't get that part.
21 year contract.
It's all good until someone tries to throw away a half-eaten Sloppy Joe and it spills all over the screen. Oops.
This is England, we don't eat Sloppy Joes here.
hey guys remember - we're all in this together austerity measure #23 specifies that these bins are required to save the deficit
"Spray paint the screens black"
If only we could get a hold of super-hydrophobic substances.
If these prove a hit then I want more of them. It annoys me that airports and trainstations etc aren't able to have bins due to "terror threats".
Are you sure there aren't trash bins in train stations and airports? Because I remember using/seeing trash bins when I went/go to the airport.
