Crowd source map tagging going on. Try and scan recent images of that area. http://www.tomnod.com/nod/challenge/malaysiaairsar2014/map/11461

http://www.tomnod.com/nod/challenge/malaysiaairsar2014/map/11461
That is fantastic - I've never thought of that being done before now. [editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
The Aircraft itself is/was a 777-200ER which has a max range of 7,700 nautical miles (14,300 km), and needs a minimum of 5,100ft of runway to land.
777s are very heavy and their engines produce a lot of thrust - even when idle. Landing on anything other than tarmac would most definitely result in disaster.

http://www.tomnod.com/nod/challenge/malaysiaairsar2014/map/11461
I'm not sure flipping individual tiles covering extremely small areas of water is exactly productive in the line of 'scouring for clues' but somehow I found a boat on my first click [t]http://i.imgur.com/9RC0FC9.png[/t] wait a sec, there's another one just to the left of it [t]http://i.imgur.com/djArG2v.png[/t] can someone confirm these are boats I'm looking at, left one is 100 ft long and right is ~80ft according to the scale. too big for 'scattered debris' and appear to have trails behind (north of) them but the weird shape of the left one is kinda confusing [editline]e[/editline] oil rig just south-west of there [t]http://i.imgur.com/EkeYtNV.png[/t]
Yea it isn't particularly useful I suppose however it could lead to something. It is difficult to tell what is the reflection of the sea or an object EDIT: That is odd, tag it and I'll see if I can find it Just found this: Looking at that again could be just water...
Dai's look like boats. Yours looks like wave reflections.
btw the dark areas on the water are shadows by clouds. If you're unsure try searching the surrounding tiles for clouds. If you found none you might wanna consider posting it here.
Holy shit, the transponder stopped working and didn't send 7500 or 7600? My bet One of the pilots has something to do on this It happened before with that Ethiopian plane that landed on Switzerland, so why not now? I'm not saying its the SAME case, but, maybe it involves the pilots somehow.
yes as we all know terrorists are very rational people who are extremely picky with who they explode
Yes, actually. They are. When people do things you don't understand or agree with, it does not automatically make them irrational or retarded. How the hell do you think they pulled off 9/11 if they were stupid?

For every carefully calculating terrorist sect there's ten who are far less discriminate. There are exceptions, duh, but he's acting like simply because there is no grand overarching motive that is immediately obvious there is no way maybe some joe schmoe homegrown militants decided taking 200 lives is enough of a motive.
What could this be? [t]http://i.imgur.com/EQmmSAu.png[/t] around map 1141 do note, a bunch of tiles to the left there's an oil rig. Might be related to that [editline]12th March 2014[/editline] multiple unrelated oil slicks have been found on other spots, so this one probably is unrelated too.
Could easily just be algae blooms or silt stirred up.
yeah, it all over the place and I don't really expect there to be enough fuel in a plane to create such large patterns. I also found a similair one a bit further south, so you're most likely right.
Don't know how to jump to maps but that looks just like sediment being stirred around. Possibly from an oil rig.
I didn't find the plane, but I did find a boat! [t]http://i.imgur.com/dmzo04J.png[/t] Also why are the clouds like this? [t]http://i.imgur.com/UzHt9Lm.png[/t]
Looks like one of those boats is a little more moist than it's supposed to be.
Does this look like an oil slick to anyone or maybe just shadow from a cloud? [t]http://gabeazo.com/images/81dac84cfdd04ecad3c7.png[/t] [editline]12th March 2014[/editline] Yeah its just a cloud, it matches up to the shapes of the few below it.
200 clicks and nothing but open water and clouds. [editline]11th March 2014[/editline] 510 and still nothing. Not even a boat. [editline]11th March 2014[/editline] 895 clicks and I found my first anything. [t]http://puu.sh/7s6am.jpg[/t]

Found some dolphins, I think. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Z4PnjvV.png[/t] I can't help but feel this could all be done better algorithmically.
It pretty much is just some conspiracy bullshit. And its about how a Russian spy hijacked the plane, an American fighter jet tried to shoot it down but they somehow talked out of it and magically a goddamn G9 summit took part to stop WW3. Also I've added the English translation to the bottom of the document page. Just scroll down until you've passed the Malay section.
Sounds like the plot of a Tom Clancy novel.
At least they are considering re looking at how useful the blackbox is, even if it would cost a fortune in real time to transmit data back would be a million times more helpful than praying they find the data recorder

Passenger section ejects off. Parachutes open. Floatation devices inflate. I call it the Homer.
Might as well call it a tank because it will never get off the ground.
There's nothing saying a plane with those features wouldn't fly.
So the news is saying that 2 Aussie chicks previously on the same plane were allowed into the cockpit by the same pilot. Also, Taiwan news reported that Malaysia airlines fucked up again, sending some families from China to India, instead of Malaysia
Pilots confirmed for idiots.
A CO-PILOT at the controls of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 invited a Melbourne tourist and her friend into the cockpit where he smoked, took photos and entertained the pair during a previous international flight.
Fuck me, Malaysian Airlines is off my list permanently.
Pilots used to do that shit all the time. It was all in good fun. Terrorists ruined it for everyone.

That's fucking racist.
That's fucking racist.
Pictures showing the pilots with their eyes closed because they are tired or not paying attention are racists? Are you trying to say that is their normal face? That's fucking racist.
