Let's hope everyone survived then and the plane split up during the crash landing on a flat surface
But if search and rescue crews don't spot it soon, lives will perish, it's a race against time now
either the radio broke, it blew up mid flight or it was hijacked so quickly the pilots had no opportunity to radio in
I'm throwing out a Hijacking possibility. By the time any hijacker busted down the locked door, the pilot's would have had time to squawk 7500
This is why I'll never choose Malaysia Airlines. Air Asia all the way!
My guess is a bomb, or something that caused an explosion and breakup on the spot
This kind of stuff always happens over the sea, like that great mystery of Air France flight 447.

Well, it's not much of a 'mystery' anymore, but I get your point.

But it was over land?
Out of curiosity, when planes are hi jacked, are the pilots usually killed in the process?

It was a mystery for years.

Nope

Only if they know how to fly the thing without instantly crashing it the second they turn autopilot off.
Thought it was a boeing 777X and got really concerned. Not that this isnt concerning, but the 777X is a brand new airplane
My guess is a bomb, or something that caused an explosion and breakup on the spot
Bombs don't always cause a plane to explode mid-flight and break up, some bombs such as one that happened on a flight years back killed one person sitting underneath it,injured the people around it and blasted a hole into the cargo bay which also destroyed some hydraulics but the pilots were able to steer the stricken jet back to an airport safely

777X is still being designed and hashed out. It isn't supposed to be delivered until at minimum 2020.

And some bombs cause the plane to shower a city with debris, Lockerbie
That plane disappeared in a similar fashion as this one has, Only worse as they could be seen as a blip on a radar screen until it happened, and there was no communication after the explosion
And some bombs cause the plane to shower a city with debris, Lockerbie
That was a case of a huge suitcase bomb that was destined to do that, most bombs that are constructed inside the cubicles of planes normally blow a hole to the cargo bay and cripple the steering of the plane which makes it harder to fly, they aren't huge enough to cause another Lockerbie and there's so much security and bag checking now since 9/11 that it would be extremely rare for that to repeat again
holy shit i started watching non-stop right when that happened....

what if it was an inside job?
I just saw on the news, it landed in Nanming, China.
Edit: I guess it was just speculation, sorry
The facebook post up a couple posts says the Airline company is still trying to verify those reports.

What "news"
I just saw on the news, it landed in Nanming, China.
"The news?" Can we get a more specific source?
"The news?" Can we get a more specific source?
It was NBC when I went down to the kitchen, it was "breaking". There were four americans on board and one of them was a baby was also mentioned for some reason.
It was "speculation" not a solid fact.
